Boys Basketball

No. 1 Morgan Park 92, Carver 36: Xzavier Taylor had 13 points for host Morgan Park (19-2, 6-1) in the Public League Red-South.

No. 5 St. Rita 90, Bishop McNamara 66: Victor Law chalked up 18 points and 10 rebounds for visiting St. Rita (13-5, 6-1) in the Catholic League South. Dominique Matthews led the Mustangs in scoring with 21 points.

No. 10 Marist 42, Carmel 32: L.J. McIntosh had 12 points for host Marist (15-6, 2-3) in the East Suburban Catholic.

Richards 62, Collins 59: Deon Alexander’s three-pointer at the buzzer was the difference for host Richards (12-9). Josh Meier led the Bulldogs with 18 points and six blocked shots.

Bradley 39, Thornridge 37: Darrion Robinson had 12 points and Antonio Woods added 11 to lead host Thornridge (6-13, 1-6) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Rich South 54, Kankakee 44: Denzel Kimbrough poured in 13 points to pace host Rich South (9-10, 3-3) in the Southland.

Mount Carmel 60, Gordon Tech 37: Christian Searles scored 31 points for host Mount Carmel in the Catholic League North.

Shepard 62, Chicago Christian 48: Londell Lee had 18 points for Shepard in the battle between Palos Heights schools.

Argo 90, Eisenhower 80: Ryan Krob had 28 points to lead visiting Argo (8-12, 4-5) in the South Suburban Red. Tyrone Terrell, of Eisenhower (3-13, 2-8), led all scorers with 34 points.

Thornton 53, Thornwood 36: Brian Nicholson notched 16 points to spark host Thornton (9-8, 4-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Donzel Vinson had 11 points for Thornwood (7-11, 3-4).

Providence 66, St. Francis de Sales 61: Kevin Kozan chalked up 27 points to power visiting Providence (11-10, 4-3) in the Catholic League South.

Rich East 86, Crete-Monee 57: Ron Lawton posted 19 points to lead a balanced effort for visiting Rich East (10-5, 4-1) in the Southland. Brandon Cole tacked on 18 points for the Rockets and Don Henderson had 15. Crete-Monee fell to 14-6, 2-3.

St. Joseph 63, St. Laurence 44: Jim Schick had a team-high 18 points for visiting St. Laurence (5-16, 0-8) in the Catholic League North.

Beecher 63, Grant Park 61: Austin King scored 18 points and Nick Oosting added 17 for host Beecher (8-11, 5-3) in the River Valley.

De La Salle 78, Hales Franciscan 49: Marcus White’s 21 points keyed host De La Salle (12-6, 5-3) in the Catholic League crossover.

Girls Basketball

Lemont 44, Bremen 29: Courtney Toth scored 11 points for visiting Lemont (13-10, 7-3) in the South Suburban Blue. Kiarra Williams had 10 points for Bremen (6-15, 0-10).

Oak Forest 39, Rich Central 13: Kelly McEathron netted 13 points for host Oak Forest (13-9).

Argo 49, Bremen 21: Nariman Jaber totaled 14 points, 10 rebounds and nine blocks to guide visiting Argo (6-13, 3-7) in the South Suburban Red. The Argonauts also received 12 points from Sharnita Breeze and 10 from Barb Waclaw.

Tinley Park 50, T.F. South 36: Kaitlyn Sudduth had a game-high 18 points for host Tinley Park (17-7, 8-2) in the South Suburban Blue. Ninah Bertrand finished with seven points for T.F. South (7-13, 6-4).

Competitive Dance

State Meet: Sandburg (79.02) advanced to the finals in Class 3A after taking ninth during the preliminary round at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington. In 2A, Eisenhower (81.20) was fifth and Lincoln-Way West (74.76) ninth.
