Boys Basketball

No. 1 Morgan Park 79, Tilden 44: Kyle Davis poured in a game-high 32 points for host Morgan Park (20-2). Josh Cunningham added 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Mustangs.

Curie 67, No. 5 St. Rita 61: Victor Law had 19 points and Charles Matthews scored 15 for host St. Rita (13-6).

Morgan Park Academy 57, Elgin Academy 27: Nick Boarden scored 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to spark host Morgan Park Academy (6-15, 2-7) in the Independent School League.

Stagg 65, Lincoln-Way West 46: Max Strus racked up 16 points and Kevin White scored 15 to pace host Stagg (15-5, 5-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Lincoln-Way West dropped to 1-20, 0-8.

Thornwood 48, Thornridge 34: Rashaad Alexander had 15 points for visiting Thornwood (8-11, 4-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Thornridge (6-14, 1-7) received 11 points from Darrion Robinson.

Joliet Central 47, Lincoln-Way East 31: Isaiah Moss had seven points for host Lincoln-Way East (8-10, 2-6) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Shepard 64, St. Laurence 48: Londell Lee had 19 points for host Shepard (11-8). Mike Krutulis led St. Laurence (5-17) with 15 points.

Bolingbrook 44, Lincoln-Way Central 29: Brad Bass scored seven points to lead visiting Lincoln-Way Central (8-12, 0-8) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Hales Franciscan 55, Providence 52: Miles Boykin had 14 points and hauled in 17 rebounds for visiting Providence (11-11, 4-4) in the Catholic League South.

Lincoln-Way North 67, Bradley 46: Daryle Morgan tossed in 14 points for host Lincoln-Way North (14-7, 6-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Sandburg 46, Lockport 40: Malek Harris scored 16 points to pace visiting Sandburg (5-14, 3-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Ryan Reed contributed 10 points for Lockport (5-15, 3-5).

Wheaton St. Francis 56, Chicago Christian 46: Brenden Wolinski pitched in 12 points for Chicago Christian (8-12) in Palos Heights.

Coal City 59, Beecher 45: Marshall Landis and Nick Oosting had 13 points each for visiting Beecher (8-12).

Girls Basketball

No. 1 Marian Catholic 57, Providence 23: Ashton Millender’s 13 points led visiting Marian Catholic (24-1, 7-0) in the East Suburban Catholic. Providence dropped to 11-14, 1-5.

No. 4 Marist 56, Bishop McNamara 44: JeTaun Rouse posted 26 points and Leah Bolton had 20 to propel visiting Marist (17-8, 3-2) in the East Suburban Catholic.

No. 6 Hillcrest 67, Lemont 38: Tanzania Sherrill finished with 17 points and eight rebounds for visiting Hillcrest (18-5, 11-0) in the South Suburban Blue. Mariam Awoniyi (15 points, 8 rebounds) and Dana Gettis (14 points, 10 assists) also starred for the Hawks. Courtney Toth had 17 points for Lemont (13-11, 7-4).

Bolingbrook 63, No. 7 Homewood-Flossmoor 41: Sydni Johnson had a team-high 24 points for visiting Homewood-Flossmoor (14-9, 8-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Sandburg 48, No. 8 Lincoln-Way East 34: Ashley Youngwirth had 14 points and her sister, Sam, added 12 to guide host Sandburg (13-10, 6-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Lincoln-Way East dropped to 17-7, 8-3.

No. 10 Stagg 57, Thornridge 25: Casey McMahon scored 14 points and Ali Conrad tacked on nine for host Stagg (17-5, 9-2) in the Southwest Suburban Red.

Oak Lawn 65, Chicago Christian 29: Jannah Mahmoud totaled 14 points and nine rebounds to lift host Oak Lawn (17-5). Brianna Markusic added 13 points and eight rebounds for the Spartans. Chicago Christian fell to 7-16.

Lincoln-Way West 62, Thornton 44: Stephanie McDonald had 12 points to boost visiting Lincoln-Way West (11-11, 5-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Oak Forest 50, T.F. North 42: Maddie Baxa (25 points) and Kelly McEathron (15) were the primary scorers for visiting Oak Forest (14-9, 8-2) in the South Suburban Blue.

Shepard 44, Evergreen Park 38: Nicki Nichols tossed in 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead visiting Shepard (11-13) in the South Suburban Red. Evergreen Park fell to 10-12, 6-5.

Rich Central 54, Kankakee 32: Tayana Wilson chalked up 14 points and Cassandra Burress added 10 to aid host Rich Central (5-19, 2-7) in the Southland.

Thornwood 84, Bradley 34: Arielle Marie had a team-best 24 points for host Thornwood (13-9, 6-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Lockport 67, Lincoln-Way Central 32: Naomi Mayes scored a career-high 21 points for host Lockport (9-12, 4-7) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Lincoln-Way Central is 9-13, 4-7.

Argo 42, Richards 35: Nariman Jaber finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds to guide host Argo (7-13, 4-7) in the South Suburban Red. Georgia Danos had 14 points for Richards.

T.F. South 65, Bremen 26: Kaitlin Togtman scored 22 points to power host T.F. South (8-13, 7-4) in the South Suburban Blue.

Girls Bowling

Lockport 3,542, Minooka 3,389: Megan Szczepanski had a 219 game and a 635 three-game series in leading Lockport at Strike N Spare II.

Peotone 2,412, Lincoln-Way East 2,256: Michelle Rybarczyk posted a 224 game and 547 two-game series for Lincoln-Way East.

Girls Gymnastics

Neuqua Valley Regional: Andrew’s Jamie Valla posted a score of 36.500 in winning the all-around competition. She also qualified for the state finals in every individual event, including the balance beam (9.200), where she tied for first. Anna Girlich, of Sandburg/Stagg co-op, earned state berths in three events in addition to the all-around competition (34.625) after her fifth-place showing.
