Girls Basketball

No. 8 Lincoln-Way North 58, Thornton 29: Ellen Graham netted 18 points and Ashley Weringa added 12 to spark visiting Lincoln-Way North (22-4, 11-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Oak Lawn 72, Evergreen Park 32: Jill Steigerwald scored 15 points and Brooke Annerino had 14 to lift host Oak Lawn (19-5, 11-1) in the South Suburban Red. Evergreen Park fell to 11-13, 7-6.

Sandburg 46, Joliet West 40: Rachel Ruzevich had nine points and Victoria Stavropoulos scored eight to lift host Sandburg (14-11, 7-6) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Richards 86, Eisenhower 67: Georgia Danos scored 37 points to guide host Richards (9-14, 3-9) in the South Suburban Red. Allison Stazak added 19 points for the Bulldogs and Sydni Tears had 12. Shavonne Lewis’ 26 points were the most for Eisenhower.

Argo 37, Shepard 34: Nariman Jaber and Barb Waclaw scored eight points each for visiting Argo (8-14, 5-7) in the South Suburban Red. Shepard dropped to 12-14, 5-8.

T.F. North 59, Bremen 39: Jackie Tieri and Bria Malley each totaled nine points for host Bremen (7-17, 0-12) in the South Suburban Blue.

Class 1A Hope Regional

Illinois Lutheran 50, Aqsa 26: Kassie Kernagis and Caroline Keuther had 12 points apiece for Illinois Lutheran in the quarterfinal.

Class 2A Hoopeston Area Regional

Beecher 65, Hoopeston Area 50: Ashley Carroll had 20 points and Danielle Snuckel added 16 to show the way for Beecher (12-15) in the semifinal.

Class 2A Seton Regional

Seton 67, Hawkins 8: Ebony Bailey finished with 11 points for Seton (21-8) in the semifinal.

Illiana Christian 40, Carver 35: Alex Van Beek posted 12 points in helping Illiana Christian reach the championship.

Boys Basketball

No. 10 Marist 55, Tinley Park 52: Zak Niemiera scored 18 and Lexus Williams added 13 to lead host Marist (16-6).

Andrew 52, Bradley 45: Glorind Lisha totaled 23 points and five assists to lead host Andrew (12-9, 7-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Luke Hook added 16 points for the Thunderbolts.

Lincoln-Way North 74, Thornridge 72: Tre Lewis (26 points) scored on a layup as time expired to boost visiting Lincoln-Way North (16-7, 8-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Daryle Morgan tacked on 20 points for the Phoenix. Thornridge (6-16, 1-9) received 26 points from Darrion Robinson and 21 from Austin Dunbar.

Sandburg 59, Joliet Central 57 (OT): Alec Martinez’s two free throws with 14 seconds left in the extra session were the difference for visiting Sandburg (6-15, 4-6) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Malek Harris (14 rebounds) and Niko Cahue led the Eagles with 20 points apiece.

Eisenhower 93, Rich South 88: Tyrone Terrell had 34 points and Nick Curta added 21 to aid host Eisenhower (5-14). Jaylen Zachery notched 18 points for Rich South (9-12).

Thornwood 68, Lincoln-Way West 58: Donte Thomas posted 16 points and seven rebounds to power visiting Thornwood (9-12, 5-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Luke Horvath, of Lincoln-Way West (2-21, 1-9), also had 16 points.

Illinois Lutheran 59, Gardner-South Wilmington 36: Austin Wood (15 points) and Mack Newson (13) led visiting Illinois Lutheran (15-6, 8-3) in the River Valley.

Lockport 42, Bolingbrook 41: John Campbell scored 14 points and Andrew Gosney added 13 to propel visiting Lockport (6-16, 4-6) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

St. Laurence 70, Argo 46: Mike Krutulis scored 24 points and Jim Schick tacked on 19 points and nine rebounds to steer St. Laurence (7-18) in Burbank.

Chicago Christian 69, Luther North 39: Corey Bulthuis contributed 19 points and Brenden Wolinski chipped in 16 for visiting Chicago Christian (9-13).

Morris 35, Oak Forest 33: Kyle Flanagan scored 10 points for visiting Oak Forest (8-14).

Public League Playoffs

No. 1 Morgan Park 71, Perspectives-Calumet 46: Host Morgan Park (23-2) prevailed in the opening round.

Men’s Basketball

South Suburban 82, Blackhawk East 55: Michael Harris had a team-best 24 points for visiting South Suburban (22-2).

Men’s Volleyball

St. Xavier 24-25-25-22-15, Robert Morris 26-16-23-25-12: Sam Kull had 19 kills to pace host St. Xavier (1-7, 1-3) in the Mid-America Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Conference. Dan French added a career-high 43 assists and 13 digs for the Cougars.
