T.F. North 53, Richards 43: Chanel Howard had 18 points to lift T.F. North in the quarterfinal. Georgia Danos had 18 points for Richards (10-15).
Class 4A Eisenhower Regional
Shepard 51, Eisenhower 34: Mary Grace Valenta scored 10 points in helping Shepard (13-15) advance to the semifinal round.
No. 7 Homewood-Flossmoor 79, Simeon 39: Sydni Johnson scored 18 points and Jaivonnea Norris 14 for Homewood-Flossmoor (18-9) in the quarterfinal. Chardae Greenlee tacked on 11 points and 10 steals for the Vikings.
Class 4A Lemont Regional
Lemont 33, Plainfield South 21: Courtney Toth finished with 10 points to guide Lemont (14-13) in the quarterfinal.
Class 4A Metea Valley Regional
Lockport 61, Joliet Central 41: Naomi Mayes had 27 points to lead Lockport (12-13) in the quarterfinal.
Class 4A Riverside-Brookfield Regional
Proviso East 49, Reavis 26: Paulina Gal scored seven points to pace Reavis (8-16) in the quarterfinal.
Class 4A St. Ignatius Regional
Argo 40, Dunbar 32: Nariman Jaber contributed 12 points and nine rebounds for Argo (9-15) in quarterfinal play.
Class 4A Thornwood Regional
Thornwood 41, T.F. South 31: Janeah Stewart scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Thornwood (16-10) in the quarterfinal. Aaliyah Wricks added nine points and eight rebounds for the Thunderbirds. T.F. South closed 9-15.
No. 10 Oak Lawn 76, Thornton 43: Brooke Annerino’s 19 points led a balanced attack for Oak Lawn (21-5) in the quarterfinal. Brianna Markusic added 15 points for the Spartans, Jill Steigerwald netted 12 and Jannah Mahmoud had 11.
Class 3A Coal City Regional
Providence 51, Morris 33: Alyssa Jurges (15 points) and Alex Shermulis (13) were the primary scorers for Providence (14-17) in the quarterfinal.
Class 3A Hillcrest Regional
Oak Forest 50, Rich East 37: Kelly McEathron scored 18 points and Brianna Getzloff added 10 for Oak Forest (16-11) in the quarterfinal. Jordan Towery led Rich East (9-17) with 12 points.
Tinley Park 52, Bremen 38: Caitlin Sudduth had 21 points and 13 rebounds to propel Tinley Park (21-8) into the semifinal round. Diamond Beatty added 12 points for the Titans. Bremen (7-21) got 13 points from Kiarra Williams.
Class 3A Thornridge Regional
Chicago Christian 66, Thornridge 25: Emma Baldacci had 16 points and Emily Lemmenes added 10 for Chicago Christian (8-18) in the quarterfinal.
Class 2A Seton Sectional
Seton 57, Collins 16: Desiree Jackson totaled 11 points and 10 rebounds for Seton (23-8) in the semifinal. Ebony Bailey chipped in 10 points for the Sting.
St. Francis de Sales 55, Mount Assisi 45: Tyler Brown-Henderson had 15 points for St. Francis (14-13) in the semifinal.
Boys Indoor Track & Field
Lincoln-Way Central triangular: Providence won seven of 14 events in the non-scoring meet. The Celtics were led by Chad Weaver, who prevailed in the 55-meter dash (6.4 seconds) and pole vault (15 feet, 6 inches). Lincoln-Way Central captured first place in five events, including the 2-mile relay (8 minutes, 55.1 seconds). Among the individual winners for the Knights was Dru Rozewicki in the 800 (2:10.1). Crete-Monee’s Tyler Whittler was tops in the 200 (22.8).
Clarke (Iowa) 25-25-25, St. Xavier 19-17-23: Justin Cousin had 13 kills and Sam Kull added 12 to lead host St. Xavier (2-9, 2-5) in the East Division of the Mid-America Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Conference. Dan French led the Cougars in assists with 29.
