Boys Basketball

No. 3 Bloom 52, Crete-Monee 50: Zerell Jackson’s putback with three-tenths of a second remaining was the difference for visiting Bloom (22-3, 8-1) in the Southland. Dejahown Freeman notched a game-high 20 points for the Blazing Trojans, while Nhyree Mitchell added 11. Marvie Keith led Crete-Monee (16-8, 5-4) with 17 points and Mark Conner chipped in 11.

Lincoln-Way East 58, Lincoln-Way Central 51: Chris DeRubertis scored 14 points and Isaiah Moss added 13 for host Lincoln-Way East (9-14, 3-9) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Lincoln-Way Central fell to 9-16, 1-11.

Rich Central 75, Kankakee 60: Jaylen Miller notched 20 points and six rebounds to spark visiting Rich Central (10-13, 5-4) in the Southland. Jamaal Murray (10 rebounds) and Keith Williams added 15 points apiece for the Olympians.

Andrew 70, Thornridge 43: Jubril Adekoya returned from a four-game injury absence to provide 15 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for host Andrew (13-10, 8-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Luke Hook (12 points, 4 rebounds) and Glorind Lisha (10 points) also starred for the Thunderbolts. Austin Dunbar scored 14 points for Thornridge (6-17, 2-10) and Antonio Woods had 12.

T.F. North 63, Bremen 44: Nick Wood had 17 points to show the way for host T.F. North (18-7, 10-2) in the South Suburban Blue. Otis Lane, of Bremen (10-13, 3-9), also scored 17 points.

Lincoln-Way North 69, Lincoln-Way West 55: Daryle Morgan and Ryan Pellack each contributed 16 points for host Lincoln-Way North (18-7, 10-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Lincoln-Way West dropped to 2-23, 1-11.

Oak Forest 59, Tinley Park 58: Tom Shute scored 21 points to pace visiting Oak Forest (10-15, 5-7) in the South Suburban Blue. Jason Roland and Kyle Flanagan added 13 points apiece for the Bengals. Orlando Lewis finished with 17 points for Tinley Park (8-16, 4-9).

Stagg 41, Thornwood 38: Sean Dwyer dropped in 15 points to boost host Stagg (18-6, 8-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Donte Thomas had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Thornwood (10-14, 6-6).

Shepard 68, Argo 62: Devontae Armwood (19 points) and Jacob Littleton (18) were the primary scorers for visiting Shepard (13-10, 5-7) in the South Suburban Red. Argo (10-14, 6-6) received 15 points from Tyler Mitchell and 13 from Dustin Krob.

Thornton 70, Bradley 60: Justin Taylor provided a team-best 21 points for host Thornton (12-10, 10-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Evergreen Park 59, Oak Lawn 56 (OT): Turron Clayton racked up 22 points to propel host Evergreen Park (7-20, 3-9) in the South Suburban Red. Oak Lawn’s Shawn Cannon led all scorers with 26 points.

Mount Carmel 63, St. Laurence 52: Christian Searles put in 27 points for visiting Mount Carmel (10-14, 5-6) in the Catholic League North. Mike Kornacker had 19 points for St. Laurence (8-19, 1-10) and Jim Schick added 15.

Lockport 53, Joliet Central 47: Andrew Gosney scored 15 points and Ryan Reed chipped in 10 to aid host Lockport (7-17, 5-7) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Guerin 63, Chicago Christian 56: Corey Bulthuis posted 26 points to lead visiting Chicago Christian (9-15, 2-8) in the Suburban Christian Gold.

De La Salle 70, Bishop McNamara 48: Alvin Ellis had 15 points for host De La Salle (16-6, 8-3) in the Catholic League South.

Class 3A Thornridge Regional

No. 4 Morgan Park 107, Brooks 37: Bhrea Griffin scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Morgan Park (22-5) in the championship.
