Girls Basketball

Class 3A Solorio Sectional

Phillips 54, Queen of Peace 47: Hannah Lipman scored 27 points and Kaitlyn McCarthy added 16 to lead Queen of Peace (12-18) in the semifinal.

Harlan 46, Evergreen Park 31: Briana Ferguson had 11 points to put Harlan in the championship. Evergreen Park finished 13-14.

Boys Basketball

Class 1A Serena Regional

Morgan Park Academy 53, Leland/Earlville co-op 37: Nick Boarden scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lift Morgan Park Academy (7-20) in the quarterfinal.

Class 2A Seton Regional

Ag. Science 37, Southland College Prep 33: Markell Sylvain and Chris Soczek had nine points apiece in helping Ag. Science reach the semifinal.

Girls Indoor Track & Field

Lincoln-Way Central quadrangular: Kylana Taylor’s victory in the triple jump (29 feet, 51/2 inches) was among seven wins for Crete-Monee in the nonscoring meet. The Warriors also prevailed in the 800-meter relay (1 minute, 57.6 seconds) and mile relay (4:24.5). Other meet winners included Marist’s Kelly Carollo in the high jump (5 feet), Lincoln-Way Central’s Marissa Sansone in the pole vault (10 feet) and Providence’s Emma Griffiths in the 400 dash (1:06).
