Morgan Park 13, Ag. Science 11: Jackie Dempsey scored five times to pace host Morgan Park (1-0, 1-0) in the Public League.
Girls Water Polo
Mother McAuley 8, Lyons 4: Clare Bryar had four goals for Mother McAuley (2-0) at Brother Rice.
Homewood-Flossmoor 9, Richards co-op 5: Annie Schloen scored twice to lead visiting Homewood-Flossmoor (1-0).
Naperville Central 14, Marian Catholic 0: Genna Helsel made 15 saves for visiting Marian Catholic (1-1).

Homewood-Flossmoor quadrangular: Jayla Stewart won the 55-meter hurdles (8.52 seconds) and Divinity Stephens won the long jump (14 feet, 8 inches) as Homewood-Flossmoor (185 points) outscored Kankakee (82), Oak Forest (55.50) and Joliet Central (46.50).

St. Xavier 70, St. Thomas 49: Suzie Broski scored 24 points to lead No. 5 seed St. Xavier (25-6) in the first-round game in Sioux City, Iowa. Caitlin McMahon added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Cougars, who will play the University of St. Francis (Ind.) — the top seed and the No. 2-ranked team in the country — at noon Friday. The Cougars beat St. Francis 78-61 in December.
