Girls Soccer
Lockport 1, Stagg 1: Ally Brehm scored for visiting Lockport in the SouthWest Suburban crossover, which represented the season opener for both squads. Stagg benefited from an own goal by the Porters.
Badminton
Lincoln-Way Central 15, Lincoln-Way East 0: Jana Mudrock and Cristina Cimaroli won at top-seeded singles for visiting Lincoln-Way Central in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.
Reavis 14, Oak Forest 1: Riyan Yanes (No. 4) and Jessica Bachleda (No. 6) won their respective singles matches and also teamed for a victory at No. 2 doubles to spark host Reavis (2-0, 2-0) in the South Suburban crossover.
Lincoln-Way North 10, Joliet West 5: Emilee Gerk and Rachel Lahr posted a victory at No. 1 doubles for visiting Lincoln-Way North in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.
Sandburg triangular: Corey Galen won twice at No. 1 singles for Homewood-Flossmoor, which tied Downers Grove South 4-all and lost to Sandburg 12-3. Sarah Crowley and Jenna Ciaccio prevailed in both singles and doubles for the host Eagles.
T.F. North triangular: Ellie LaSpina (No. 1) won in both of her singles contests in leading Oak Lawn past T.F. North 15-0 and Stagg 13-2. LaSpina added two more wins at No. 1 doubles with Duneya Shatat.
Hinsdale South quadrangular: Sarah Harenberg and Megan Weygant (No. 3 doubles) notched the only victory for Lincoln-Way West, which lost 8-0 to Hinsdale South, 7-1 to Glenbard South and 8-0 to Lyons.
Girls Water Polo
Lincoln-Way North 9, Lincoln-Way East 3: Cheyenne DeGraff netted five goals to power visiting Lincoln-Way North (4-1, 1-1) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.
Girls Indoor Track & Field
Joliet Central Invitational: Lane Kadlec won the shot put (33 feet, 9 inches) in helping Lockport (115 points) top runner-up Sandburg (102) and third-place Crete-Monee (90) in the eight-team meet. Sandburg won five events, including the 2-mile relay (10 minutes, 13.93 seconds). Among the individual winners for the Eagles were Krystle Binkowski in the 200-meter dash (28.61 seconds), Carly Krull in the mile run (5:12.99) and Megan Sullivan in the long jump (16-61/2). Crete-Monee also won five times, the Warriors’ top performer being Simone Brown, who prevailed in the high jump (5-2) and triple jump (33-51/2).
Thornwood triangular: Wins by Misty Rogers in the 300-yard dash (40.87), Jamiah Shepard in the 880-yard run (3:00.52) and Janeah Stewart in the shot put (34-0) powered Thornwood (103) past Oak Lawn (37.50) and Thornridge (22.50). Oak Lawn’s Victoria Jones was first in the 50-yard dash (6.31) and teammate Chelsie O’Brien won the mile run (7:03).
Men’s Volleyball
Warner 28-25-25, St. Xavier 18-17-20: Dan French had 20 assists and Justin Cousin added eight kills to lead host St. Xavier (5-16).
