Stagg 1, Richards 0: Sean Dwyer scored on Peter Angelos’ double and also pitched the final two innings for the save in leading host Stagg (3-3). Winning pitcher Jeff Goral (1-0) scattered two hits and struck out six in five innings. Jim Wujcik, A.J. Bray and Alex Weinert collected hits for Richards (3-3).
Rich Central 11, Argo 3: Matt Cole (3-for-4) belted a three-run homer and totaled six RBI to power visiting Rich Central (4-0). Ernan Lopez contributed a two-run single for Argo (1-1).
Bremen 13, Morgan Park 4: Michael Edwards threw a complete game and Eric West (double, triple) had four RBI to lift visiting Bremen (4-1).
Lincoln-Way West 10-8, Peotone 0-5: Connor Hogan (2-for-4) provided two runs and two RBI for host Lincoln-Way West (2-0) in the five-inning opener. Ryan Novak and Mike Zlogar struck out 10 in combining on a three-hitter for the winners. Nick Andrade blasted a three-run triple for the Warriors in Game 2 and Luke Morgan added a two-run double.
No. 3 Andrew 4, Joliet West 3: Kelly Christner’s three-run triple in the bottom of the sixth rallied Andrew (3-0) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Jenna Lenza tacked on an RBI single for the Thunderbolts.
Tinley Park 8, Reavis 7: Alex Laphen chalked up two hits, two runs and an RBI to guide host Tinley Park (4-0, 4-0) in the South Suburban crossover. Ally Balandis (2-for-4) had a three-run homer and a two-run double for Reavis (0-4, 0-2).
Boiling Springs (S.C.) 1, No. 4 Sandburg 0: Sarah Herold gave up four hits and fanned 11 in tossing a complete game for Sandburg (0-4) in its last contest of the day in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Holtville (Ala.) 5, No. 4 Sandburg 4: Herold (2-for-4, 2 runs, 2 RBI) and Cierra Adamus hit solo home runs for the Eagles in the afternoon session.
Oakland (Tenn.) 6, No. 4 Sandburg 1: Karli McLaughlin’s second-inning single scored Katie Krzus with the lone run for Sandburg in its first game of the day.
Noble Street-Golder 6, Argo 3: Karolina Nieckarz (No. 1), Yasmin Ramos (No. 3) and Maria Gonzalez (No. 6) notched singles wins for Argo.
Olivet Nazarene 7, St. Xavier 2: Jim Augle had an RBI single for visiting St. Xavier (10-7, 5-3) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
St. Xavier 2-1, Bethel 1-4: Amanda Hainlen’s leadoff homer in the bottom of the fifth guided St. Xavier (19-3) in Game 1. Megan Nonnemacher (10-1) gave up six hits and fanned seven in pitching a complete game for the Cougars. Nicole Nonnemacher singled and scored in the nightcap for St. Xavier, which had its 17-game winning streak snapped.
