No. 4 Marian Catholic 7-6, Willoughby South (Ohio) 6-0: Meghan Henson’s three-run homer capped a five-run outburst in the bottom of the seventh for Marian Catholic (2-1) in Game 1. The Spartans completed the sweep behind Alexis Wallace, who tossed a three-hitter in addition to contributing a run and an RBI.
Stagg 18-25-28, St. Rita 25-19-26: Kamil Barnas and Mike Scatena had 12 and 11 kills, respectively, for host Stagg (7-5). Matt Meyering added 38 assists for the Chargers. Thomas McDermott had 26 assists for St. Rita (5-6) and Dan O’Keefe chipped in 14 kills.
Eisenhower 25-19-25, Argo 21-25-18: Mahonri Saldana’s 14 kills lifted host Eisenhower in the South Suburban Red.

Oak Forest triangular: Kylie Tulloch won the shot put (31 feet, 81/2 inches) and discus (95 feet) as Oak Forest (57 points) finished second behind Oak Lawn (64) in the South Suburban meet. Eisenhower (53) also competed. Amber Patterson added a victory in the 100-meter dash (13.1 seconds) for the Bengals.
St. Xavier 6-9, Trinity International 4-8: Chris Klein’s three-run triple in the bottom of the eighth highlighted a four-run outburst for St. Xavier (13-8, 8-4) in Game 2 of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader. Jim Augle and Mike Pokers contributed two RBI apiece for the Cougars in the opener.
St. Xavier 10-5, Robert Morris 0-2: Megan Nonnemacher (11-1) pitched a two-hitter and Kate Mollohan (2-for-2) batted in two runs to spark visiting St. Xavier (21-3, 4-0) to the five-inning win in Game 1 of the CCAC doubleheader. Ashley Sullivan smacked a two-run single to cap a three-run ninth inning for the Cougars in the second game.
