No. 1 Lincoln-Way North 7, Homewood-Flossmoor 2: Ryan Pellack (3-for-4) had two runs and two RBI to assist host Lincoln-Way North (8-0). Kevin Smith (2 earned runs) struck out eight in pitching a complete for the Phoenix in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. James Sheehan had an RBI for H-F.
No. 2 St. Rita 4, De La Salle 3: Connor McLain’s RBI single in the sixth catapulted host St. Rita (13-2, 1-0) in the Catholic League crossover.
No. 3 Mount Carmel 10, Fenwick 0: Marko Boricich (3-0) struck out six in pitching a no-hitter for host Mount Carmel (11-2, 1-0) in the five-inning Catholic League crossover. Dave Dobrinich and Jason Gasser hit two-run homers for the Caravan.
No. 4 St. Laurence 9, St. Ignatius 2: Roger Wilson (3 doubles) and T.J. Marik racked up two RBI apiece for host St. Laurence (8-3, 1-0) in the Catholic League crossover.
No. 5 Sandburg 2, Stagg 1: Alex Nelson’s sixth-inning sacrifice fly was the difference for host Sandburg (8-0) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Chris Stearns allowed one earned run on one hit over 61/3 innings for the Eagles. Steve Kubiak had an RBI single for Stagg (3-9).
Andrew 5, No. 6 Lockport 4: Mike Zwartz scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to propel host Andrew (6-6) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Dan Sullivan and Derek Bangert had RBI for Lockport (7-3).
No. 8 Lemont 15, Bremen 0: Jake Latz (3-for-3, 3 runs) hit a two-run triple and totaled five RBI for host Lemont (4-3, 3-0) in the five-inning South Suburban Blue game. Cody Caballero (3-0) allowed three hits in going the distance for the Indians.
Lincoln-Way East 4, No. 9 Lincoln-Way West 2: Tommy Fuessel and Ryan Weitendorf stroked RBI singles for visiting Lincoln-Way East (6-1) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Zach Speaker and Luke Morgan drove in runs for Lincoln-Way West (7-2).
Providence 15, Bishop McNamara 1: Nick Sanders (2-for-3) and Devin Williams each had two runs and two RBI for host Providence (7-1, 1-0) in the five-inning Catholic League crossover.
Tinley Park 4, T.F. South 2: Conner Ceglarz hit a two-run single and Josh Simon added a two-run homer to lead visiting Tinley Park (8-2, 4-0) in the South Suburban Blue. Alex Schell walloped a two-run homer for T.F. South.
Brother Rice 5, St. Joseph 3: Andrew Dyke swatted a two-run single to aid host Brother Rice (7-4, 1-0) in the Catholic League crossover.
Crete-Monee 5, Shepard 3: Cameron Bass was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI for host Crete-Monee (6-3). Brandon Hickey (7 strikeouts) surrendered two unearned runs on two hits through six innings for the Warriors. Christian Araiza hit a solo homer for Shepard (3-4).
Argo 6, Eisenhower 2: Ryan Krob (4-for-4) hit two homers, including a three-run shot, to pace host Argo (4-5, 1-3) in the South Suburban Red.
Gardner-South Wilmington 5, Illinois Lutheran 0: Grant Farmer struck out seven in throwing a complete game for host Illinois Lutheran (6-1, 2-1) in the River Valley.
Richards 9, Evergreen Park 8: Alex Weiner’s RBI single in the bottom of the ninth ignited Richards (4-9, 1-3) in the South Suburban Red. Dan Kohler chalked up four RBI for Evergreen Park.
Oak Lawn 5, Reavis 4: Bob Kametas’ suicide squeeze brought in Chris Rafacz with the deciding run for visiting Oak Lawn (3-5, 3-1) in the South Suburban Red.
Chicago Christian 7, Guerin 0: Josh Novak tossed a three-hitter and Corey Bulthuis (3-for-3) knocked in two runs for Chicago Christian (11-2, 2-1) in the Suburban Christian Gold contest in Gary.
No. 1 Providence 2, Morris 0: Kendal Judge struck out 16 in firing a one-hitter and Maeve Garvey had an RBI double to spur host Providence (5-0).
No. 2 Andrew 2, No. 7 Lockport 1: Jenna Lenza doubled and scored to spark visiting Andrew (7-2) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Maddie Sherwood gave up just one hit in going the route for the Thunderbolts. Carly Dundee hit a sacrifice fly for Lockport (5-3).
No. 4 Mother McAuley 4, Tinley Park 2: Alex Brown’s two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth won it for Mother McAuley (6-1).
