No. 3 Mount Carmel 2, No. 4 St. Laurence 1: First-inning RBI singles by Jason Gasser and Malik Carpenter boosted host Mount Carmel (18-3, 8-0) in the Catholic League Blue. Rich Fordon (4-0) scattered four hits in going the distance for the Caravan. Mike Miller had an RBI single for St. Laurence (15-4, 8-1).
No. 6 Lockport 7, No. 9 Sandburg 5: Derek Bangert (2-for-2) belted a two-run homer and also had a sixth-inning sacrifice fly that scored Jeff Pattison with the winning run for host Lockport (11-5, 3-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Jeff Duschene tacked on three runs for the Porters. Adam Zehme scored twice for Sandburg (10-4, 2-4), which received RBI from Dan Santiago and Justin Joy.
No. 7 Lincoln-Way East 12, Joliet Central 2: Alan Hernandez (3-for-3) and Aaron Donald (2-for-4) each had two runs and two RBI to lift host Lincoln-Way East (11-2, 4-1) in the six-inning SouthWest Suburban Blue contest.
No. 10 Andrew 20, Thornton 0: Dennis Vilimek and Stefan Urosevic belted three-run homers to power visiting Andrew (13-6, 6-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Tyler Minetti added four runs for the Thunderbolts in the five-inning game.
Stagg 2, Lincoln-Way West 0: Jeff Goral struck out four in pitching a no-hitter for host Stagg (6-13, 3-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Max Strus had a two-run single in the sixth to guide the attack offensively. Steve Skolarz gave up two unearned runs on three hits in going the route for Lincoln-Way West (9-6, 2-3).
Evergreen Park 8, Bloom 2: Kyle Venhuizen and Dan Duh had RBI doubles for host Evergreen Park (4-10). Mike Rizzo tacked on two hits and two runs for the Mustangs.
Brother Rice 2, Loyola 1: Brian Musielak had two RBI singles – including the game-winner in the bottom of the sixth – to lift Brother Rice (11-8, 4-4) in the Catholic League Blue. Ian McGinnis hurled a three-hitter and struck out five for the Crusaders.
Shepard 7, Illiana Christian 1: Adam Samad (2-for-3) and Brendan Hermann (2-for-3) each had a run and an RBI for visiting Shepard (6-9). Matt Schmeski gave up three hits in going the distance for the Astros.
Marist 9, Marian Catholic 4: Jack Gainer (2-for-2) scored three runs and Blake Bieniek (2-for-3) added two RBI to lead Marist (6-6, 3-1) in the East Suburban Catholic game at White Sox Field at Kroc Park. Eric Callaghan (2-for-3, 2 RBI) hit a solo homer for Marian Catholic (7-7, 3-3).
Tinley Park 7, Richards 6: James Kelly singled home Mitch Smith in the bottom of the seventh for host Tinley Park (10-5, 6-3) in the South Suburban crossover. Bobby Neylon (2-for-3) led the Titans with two runs and two RBI. Eric Hall (3-for-4) had a homer and three RBI for Richards (8-12, 5-4).
Argo 5, Oak Lawn 3: Jesus Loera’s three-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth was the difference for Argo (7-8, 3-6) in the South Suburban Red.
Lincoln-Way Central 4, Bolingbrook 1: Lucas Jones hit a two-run homer and Dan Doherty (run, 3 hits allowed) pitched six innings to catapult host Lincoln-Way Central (10-5, 4-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Reavis 15, Hillcrest 0: Jordan Rhodes (2-0) fanned 10 in firing a no-hitter for host Reavis (11-5, 5-2) in the five-inning South Suburban crossover.
Joliet West 3, Homewood-Flossmoor 1: Patrick Sheehan hit a seventh-inning homer for host Homewood-Flossmoor (6-6, 2-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
No. 1 Mother McAuley 2, Loyola 0: Jessica Alberts (3-hitter) struck out 14 and Emily Powers had two RBI to spark Mother McAuley (11-1) in the GCAC Red.
No. 5 Lockport 6, Lincoln-Way Central 5: Sarah DeMasi (2-for-4) had two RBI for host Lockport (12-4, 5-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Carly Dundee pitched a complete game for the Porters in addition to contributing two hits and a run. Naidelyn Medina and Alyssa Dietz had two RBI apiece for Lincoln-Way Central (7-6, 2-3).
No. 9 Oak Forest 15, Hillcrest 0: Corrina Boersma fanned 10 in tossing a perfect game for visiting Oak Forest (11-6, 8-2) in the South Suburban Blue. Annie Zubek (2-for-4, run) led the Bengals offensively with three RBI in the five-inning contest.
Bishop McNamara 6, No. 10 Marian Catholic 1: Ally Wallace knocked in Allison Spence with the lone run for host Marian Catholic (5-7, 2-5) in the East Suburban Catholic.
Reavis 6, Argo 1: Maryssa Meskill (2-for-4) doubled and collected two RBI to lead visiting Reavis (7-9, 5-6) in the South Suburban Red. Jamie Harcar struck out seven in pitching a complete game for the Rams.
Richards 7, Tinley Park 4: Jordan Battles and Emily Wetzel each went 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBI for host Richards (10-4, 10-1) in the South Suburban crossover.

Lincoln-Way West 3, Stagg 1: Cori Brennan had a goal and an assist for host Lincoln-Way West (10-5-2, 1-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Natalie Tannura and Brianna Darlage also scored in helping the Warriors post their first win against Stagg. Jazmin Castanon had the goal for Stagg (5-3-2, 0-2).
Lincoln-Way East 5, Homewood-Flossmoor 2: Colin Walsh and Jon Stroede prevailed at No. 4 doubles for host Lincoln-Way East (16-2, 5-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Reavis 4, Shepard 1: Darius Pajor (No. 1) and Jimmy Nguyen (No. 2) posted singles wins for visiting Reavis in the South Suburban Red. Bryan Jimenez and Jason Krysik were victorious at No. 1 doubles for Shepard.
Andrew 4, Sandburg 3: Brian Moy won at No. 2 singles for host Andrew (11-6, 6-0) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.

Sandburg 12, Andrew 6: Zach Roper scored five goals to lead host Sandburg in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Eric Tamulonis scored three times for Andrew.
Girls Water Polo
Lockport 15, Hinsdale South 3: Christine Baffa netted five goals for visiting Lockport.
Sandburg 10, Andrew 5: Hat tricks by Brittany Kamper and Sarah Dolitsky keyed visiting Sandburg in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.
Lincoln-Way West 12, Marian Catholic 7: Genna Helsel had a team-best four goals for Marian Catholic.
Cardinal Stritch 8-6, St. Xavier 5-8: Mike Pokers’ two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth enabled St. Xavier (21-17, 16-11) to gain a split in the Chicagoland Athletic Conference doubleheader. Pokers also contributed two RBI in the opener for the Cougars.
St. Xavier 4-1 Olivet Nazarene 3-3: Nicole Nonnemacher’s eighth-inning single scored Ashley Sullivan with the winning run for host St. Xavier (38-4, 17-1) in the opener of the CCAC doubleheader. Kate Mollohan added three RBI for the Cougars. Megan James had an RBI double in Game 2 as St. Xavier had its school-record 19-game winning streak end.
