Lincoln-Way North 25-25, T.F. South 16-11: Rachel Burkman (10 digs) and Brittany Pappas had five kills apiece for host Lincoln-Way North (1-0). Shannon Murphy added 13 assists for the Phoenix.
Downers Grove North 25-25, Marian Catholic 16-22: Maddie Huekels passed out eight assists for host Marian Catholic (0-1).
Chicago Christian 25-25, Shepard 23-21: Samantha Kubik (13 assists) and Anna Kamp (6 kills) were among the standouts for host Chicago Christian (1-0). Chrystal McAlpin rang up five blocks and four kills for Shepard (1-1).
Morgan Park Academy 25-25, Christian Liberty 4-12: Isabelle Panozzo’s nine aces and eight kills sparked host Morgan Park Academy (1-0).
Evergreen Park 25-26, Queen of Peace 17-24: Emma Przeslicke posted eight kills and six digs to aid host Evergreen Park (1-0). Maddie Vojacek added five kills and 10 digs for the Mustangs.
Andrew 22-25-25, Oak Forest 25-19-13: Alexis Pranckus posted 14 kills and six digs to spearhead visiting Andrew (1-0). The Thunderbolts also received 24 assists from Kaileen Herman and 12 digs from Mary Farrelly. Jenna Brown posted eight kills and seven digs for Oak Forest (0-1).
Homewood-Flossmoor 20-25-25, Tinley Park 25-18-19: Maddy Hallahan and Lexi Jung notched eight kills apiece to lead host Homewood-Flossmoor (1-0). Annalise Robinson chipped in 29 assists for the Vikings.
Hillcrest 25-25, Thornton 21-14: Mackia Dunn provided five kills and Ariel Williams notched eight service points to show the way for host Hillcrest (1-0).
Oak Lawn 14-25-25, Mount Assisi 14-25-21: Kelly Magliano finished with nine kills for host Mount Assisi in the season opener for both squads.

No. 5 Lincoln-Way East 3, Brother Rice 0: Alan Hernandez scored twice off assists from Sean Sibley in helping host Lincoln-Way East capture the season opener for both teams. Sean McGovern made five saves in recording the shutout.

Homewood-Flossmoor quadrangular: Matt Contey led all golfers with a 35 as Lincoln-Way East (148) topped SouthWest Suburban foes Sandburg (156), Homewood-Flossmoor (166) and Lincoln-Way West (176) at Ravisloe.

Lockport triangular: Amanda Moran won the 50-yard freestyle (25.44 seconds) and 100 freestyle (54.14) in helping Lockport (109 points) finish second behind Wheaton co-op (115). Plainfield co-op (101) came in third.
Crimson Wave Preview: Kirby Brown tied for second with a two-day score of 152 as St. Xavier (635) was bested by AIB College of Business (610) for first place in the seven-team meet hosted by Calumet College. Brendan Ryan (156) added an eighth-place showing for the Cougars in Crown Point.
Trinity Christian 0, Indiana Tech 0: Becky Gold made five saves for host Trinity Christian in its season debut.
Ashford 25-25-25, St. Xavier 13-14-13: Kelli Shaffer (13 assists, 7 digs) and Dominique Aramburu (9 digs) aided visiting St. Xavier (0-3).
