Thornwood 19-27-25, Rich Central 25-25-19: Brieanna Holmes totaled five kills and Charnice Lipscomb added seven digs for host Thornwood (1-1).
Lincoln-Way Central 25-24-27, Shepard 19-26-25: Maria Brown finished with 15 kills and 28 digs to spark host Lincoln-Way Central (1-0). Jacqueline Langer tacked on 20 kills and 14 digs for the Knights. Caroline Graham led Shepard (1-2) with 30 assists and 10 service points. Kendall Yerkes tacked on 10 kills, 15 digs and nine service points for the Astros.
Richards 25-25, Argo 18-21: Kate Sullivan had 13 assists and Shannon Gardner had five kills for host Richards (2-0, 1-0) in the South Suburban Red.
Reavis 25-16-25, Queen of Peace 23-25-18: Sabrina Laskowski and Paulina Gal drilled six kills apiece for visiting Reavis. Michelle Frederick chalked up eight kills and seven digs for Queen of Peace (0-2). Becca Huerta chipped in 12 digs for the Pride.
Wheaton North Invitational: Kaileen Herman totaled 24 assists as Andrew began the night with a 19-25, 25-21, 25-16 loss to Wheaton North. Mary Farrelly had 19 digs as the Thunderbolts bounced back in their next contest to defeat Romeoville 25-18, 22-25, 25-21. Stagg also split its matches, defeating Larkin 17-25, 25-21, 25-22 and losing to Montini 25-14-14. Gianna Petrelli had 12 assists and 11 service points for Stagg (1-2) in its victory. Kelly Runyon (25 digs, 11 service points) and Lexi Mantas (15 kills) also starred for the Chargers. Jenna Brown provided a team-leading seven kills for Oak Forest (0-3), which lost to Glenbard West 25-4, 25-11 and St. Viator 25-17, 25-13.
Chicago Christian 10, Westmont 0: Getenet Timmermans had four goals and two assists for visiting Chicago Christian (1-0-1).

Beecher 8, Rich East 0: Bailey Schultz and Brian Mayer each scored twice to lift Beecher (2-0) at Illinois Lutheran.
Illinois Lutheran 9, Rich Central 0: Ryan Cayton’s two goals lifted host Illinois Lutheran (2-0). Cameron Borns added a goal and three assists for the Chargers.
Crete-Monee 11, St. Anne 0: Casey Warrick scored two goals to direct host Crete-Monee (2-0).
Lincoln-Way Central 157, Plainfield Central 185: Medalist Scott Mueller shot a 38 to pace Lincoln-Way Central at Mistwood in Romeoville. Tony Kestel and Anthony Bolden tacked on 39s for the Knights.
Andrew 178, Richards 179: Matt Walt, of Richards, captured medalist honors with a 41 at Silver Lake’s North Course. Joe Rymsza had a 43 for Andrew.
Shepard 175, Tinley Park 189: Shepard’s Colin Cody (40) had the best round in the South Suburban crossover at The Sanctuary. Tremayne Hollins posted a 44 to pace Tinley Park.
St. Rita 156, St. Laurence 171: St. Rita’s Darren O’Hanlon and St. Laurence’s Jordan Velez tied for medalist with 1-over 36s in the Catholic League dual at Tuckaway.
Argo 206, Bremen 215: Michael Orlos, of Argo, was the medalist after shooting a 48 in the South Suburban crossover at Cog Hill.
Beecher triangular: Medalist Michael Barber shot a 37 as Beecher (182) topped Crete-Monee (203) and Grant Park (209) at Cardinal Creek.
Lincoln-Way East 183, Stagg 217: Co-medalists Karoline Pirko and Kelly Sterling carded 41s to propel Lincoln-Way East in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Silver Lake.
Mother McAuley 183, St. Ignatius 200: Brianna Ward, of Mother McAuley, was the medalist with a 41 in the GCAC dual at The Meadows.
Andrew 3, Marian Catholic 2: Amanda Koppers and Megan Carey won the deciding match at No. 3 doubles for host Andrew (1-1). Gaby Rosales prevailed at No. 1 singles to aid Marian Catholic (1-1).
Marist 3, Stagg 2: Courtney Foggie and Kaelyn Pace won their match at No. 1 singles for host Marist. Nicole Pamphilis (No. 1) and Jillian Atkenson (No. 2) posted singles wins for Stagg.
St. Ambrose 2, Trinity Christian 0: Rick Fawkes and Gabe Fennema made three saves apiece for host Trinity Christian in its season debut.
St. Xavier 1, Bethel 1: Lexi Cozzi’s goal in the 87th enabled host St. Xavier to notch a draw in its season opener.
