Football: Rich Central tops Joliet Central 44-0

Rich Central scored 30 second-half points to break open a 14-0 halftime game against Joliet Central. In the process, the host Olympians extended the Steelmen’s winless streak to 28 games.
The Olympians’ Deshon Kelly, a junior, returned the opening kickoff of the second half 90 yards for a touchdown. The ensuing 2-point conversion made it 22-0 with 11:48 to play in the third quarter.
Rich Central quarterback Michael Hoover rushed for 69 yards and threw for 120 yards while scoring one rushing touchdown and throwing for one. Olympians running back Ahmad McClellan rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Joliet Central running back Sylvester Bellamy rushed for 76 yards.
