Big plays were the difference for visiting Brooks (1-1), which scored on two first-half touchdown passes from Tyree Dantzler – a 71-yarder to Gerald Scott and a 48-yarder to Zeriam Jackson – and a 54-yard third-quarter run from Luther Lockwood.
Down 20-7, Oak Forest (1-1) looked to gain momentum when, on the first play of the second half, Patrick Kristin forced and recovered a Brooks fumble at the Brooks 28. Instead, the Eagles forced a turnover on downs and Lockwood dashed 54 yards to pay dirt on the next possession.
Dantzler completed 6-of-11 passes for 208 yards, averaging 35 yards per completion. He completed his first four attempts, two of them for touchdowns.
