Football: Lockport falls 19-7 to Lake Park

Lake Park used all three facets of the game, scoring on special teams, offense and defense in the second half to break open a contest that was 0-0 at halftime. Lockport (0-2) finally scored its first points of the season with 2:41 to play in the game. The Lancers (1-1) christened their new turf field with the victory.
Kamal Holmes came in from the right side and blocked a Porters punt at the 5-yard line. The ball rolled into the end zone, where Markus Latoria fell on it for a touchdown with 4:23 left in the third quarter for the first points of the game.

BY THE NUMBERS
Curtwan Edwards (10 carries, 59 yards) scored on a 42-yard run with 5:42 left in the game to give Lake Park a 12-0 lead. Xavier Davis returned his second interception of the game for a 35-yard TD with 4:47 to play. Ryan Dalton was 7-of-22 for 56 yards and two interceptions for the Porters, who had numerous dropped balls. Sean Kelley caught a 13-yard TD pass for Lockport.
