Rich East Invitational: Mother McAuley (15-1) won all three of its matches, beating Andrew 25-15, 25-13; Lyons 25-21-25-15; and Lemont 25-20, 25-12. Courtney Joyce was among the standouts for the Mighty Macs, compiling 41 assists in two of the matches, including 19 against Lemont. Mariel Leibovitz totaled 51 assists as Lincoln-Way Central (13-2) defeated Rich East 25-9, 25-10; Lincoln-Way West 25-10, 25-13; and Chicago Christian 25-14, 25-11. Maria Brown added 19 kills and 12 digs for the Knights. Lizzie Zaleski pounded 31 kills to pace Marist (11-4), which topped Downers Grove South 25-17, 25-8; Lincoln-Way East 25-17, 25-18; and Providence 25-19, 25-23.
T.F. United 3, Argo 0: Ray Kobus scored twice and Alexis Gallegos once to lift visiting T.F. North (9-3, 4-2) in the South Suburban crossover.
Don Nichols/Will County Invitational: Lockport’s Gehrig Hollatz shot a 69 in finishing second at Wedgewood in Joliet. Providence’s Will McCabe (74) was 10th, followed by Lincoln-Way Central teammates Tony Kestel and Bryant Bolden (76 each). Host Joliet Township co-op (299) won the team crown behind medalist Trent Wallace, who carded a 66. Providence, Lockport and Lincoln-Way Central all were 13 strokes off the pace, with Lemont (317) rounding out the top five among the 18 scoring squads.
Downers Grove South 8, Lincoln-Way East 4: Nina Heidkamp won at No. 3 doubles and No. 5 singles for visiting Lincoln-Way East (8-8).
