Bloom 45, Rich South 14: Quarterback Kendall McGinnis ran for three touchdowns (2, 3, 3 yards) to lead visiting Bloom (4-2, 2-1) in the Southland. Jarrell McCaskill returned a punt 75 yards for a score in aiding Rich South (1-5, 0-2).
Ag. Science 39, South Shore International 6: Brionte Zinnerman rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns for visiting Ag. Science (5-1, 4-0) in the Public League Inter-City 4
Rich Central 42, Rich East 7: Ahmad McClellan scored on a 4-yard run and also caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Michael Hoover to pace visiting Rich Central (6-0, 2-0). Jeremiah Mitchell added a 45-yard touchdown jaunt for the Olympians in the Southland game. Rich East fell to 0-6, 0-2.
Stagg 20, Joliet Central 0: The SouthWest Suburban Blue game in Joliet was called at halftime because of lightning and postponed to Monday at 5 p.m. Stagg (2-3, 0-3) had rushing touchdowns from Adam Pilota (5 yards), Jack Duffner (10) and Chioke Elmore (4). Joliet Central was 0-5, 0-3 going into the game.
Bolingbrook 24, Lockport 3: John Hall scored second-half touchdowns on runs covering 10 and 4 yards to catapult host Bolingbrook (6-0, 4-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. The only points for Lockport (1-5, 1-3) came on a 35-yard field goal by Aaron Ambrose.
Robeson 16, Morgan Park 14: Tim Smith threw a touchdown pass and scrambled 16 yards for another score to pace Morgan Park (3-3, 2-1) in the Public League Illini Prairie State game at Stagg Stadium.
T.F. South 17, Eisenhower 7: Touchdown runs by Trenton Gilbert (49 yards) and quarterback Cody Petrich (24) guided host T.F. South (3-3). Dan Stellfox tacked on a 28-yard field goal for the Rebels in the South Suburban crossover. T.J. Skelton (14 carries, 158 yards) scored on a 1-yard plunge for Eisenhower (4-2).
Tinley Park 39, T.F. North 28: Preston Thompson (15 carries) ran for 179 yards and four touchdowns in becoming host Tinley Park’s all-time rushing leader. Quinn Kelly (5-for-6, 135 yards) added a scoring pass for the Titans (2-4, 1-2) in the South Suburban Blue. Anthony Watkins had 166 yards on the ground and three TDs to pace T.F. North (2-4, 1-2).
Lincoln-Way West 22, Bradley 20: Sean Hastings’ 27-yard field goal with 4 minutes, 9 seconds remaining propelled host Lincoln-Way West (5-1, 4-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Javier Montalvo (35 carries, 285 yards) provided touchdown runs of 22 and 59 yards for the Warriors.
Lemont 41, Hillcrest 6: Michael Larkins contributed touchdown runs of 2 and 19 yards to power host Lemont (3-3, 2-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Chris Thompson added a 16-yard scoring pass to Matt Monaco for the Indians. Austin Coleman reached the end zone on a 58-yard run to aid Hillcrest (0-6, 0-4).
Crete-Monee 18, Kankakee 6: Marquell O’Connor caught a 19-yard touchdown pass from Frank Douglas to spark visiting Crete-Monee (5-1, 2-0) in the Southland. Shane Ratkovich added a 4-yard scoring run for the Warriors.
Andrew 49, Thornton 35: Jarvion Franklin had 28 carries for 252 yards and two touchdowns to power host Andrew (3-3, 2-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Jacob Platt (9-of-14, 143 yards) added two scoring passes and a 53-yard TD scamper for the Thunderbolts. He finished the game with 77 yards on 15 carries. Thornton slipped to 3-3, 2-2.
Champaign Central 15, Marian Catholic 10: Dillon Burns’ 8-yard touchdown run and Chris Taborn’s 43-yard field goal keyed visiting Marian Catholic (2-4).
Oak Lawn 21, Shepard 20: Ray Howard’s 1-yard touchdown run with 17.7 seconds left in the third quarter — coupled with subsequent extra-point kick — was the difference for visiting Oak Lawn (2-4, 1-3) in the South Suburban Red. Howard also crossed the goal line on a 6-yard carry in helping the Spartans overcome a 20-7 deficit. Shane Javorski had two scoring tosses for Shepard (0-6, 0-4), including an 83-yard connection to Kyle Dye. The Astros’ other TD came on a 95-yard kickoff return by Emmanuel Williams.
Thornwood 22, Thornridge 20: Thornwood (2-4, 1-3) won the SouthWest Suburban Red contest in South Holland. Thornridge is 0-6, 0-4.
