Lincoln-Way Central 25-25, Thornwood 14-8: Mariel Leibovitz had 18 assists and Maria Brown had 11 kills to propel host Lincoln-Way Central (15-5, 1-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Mother McAuley 25-25, Resurrection 9-15: Gabby Ennis posted five kills and Jenny Phelan had five digs for visiting Mother McAuley (24-2) in the GCAC Red.
Sandburg 25-25, Stagg 18-18: Kelly McGovern’s 13 digs and Julia Borschel’s six kills led host Sandburg (18-7, 2-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Lexi Mantas’ eight kills led Stagg (11-14, 0-2).
Lincoln-Way North 25-25, Lincoln-Way West 9-21: Shannon Murphy totaled 16 assists and Casey Zimmerman seven kills to vault host Lincoln-Way North (21-3, 2-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Richards 25-25, Evergreen Park 17-19: Shannon Gardner and Dana Wujcik had seven kills apiece for host Richards (17-5, 8-2) in the South Suburban Red.
Lincoln-Way East 17-25-25, Homewood-Flossmoor 25-16-22: The duo of Jessica Lindsey (12 kills) and Macie Lawrence (17 digs) directed visiting Lincoln-Way East (11-9, 2-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Helena Vallar and Annalise Robinson each had 11 assists for Homewood-Flossmoor (19-6, 1-1). Candace Tate added seven kills for the Vikings.
Lockport 25-23-25, Joliet West 21-25-19: Kayla Pfeiffer finished with 12 assists, seven kills and six blocks to catapult visiting Lockport (12-7, 2-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Lindsey Visvardis added 21 digs for the Porters and Sarah Kurzawski had nine kills.
Lemont 25-25, Bremen 12-17: Cara Howell chalked up five kills and Natalie Schwem had 11 assists to lead visiting Lemont (11-25, 10-1) in the South Suburban Blue.
Sandburg 25-25, Stagg 18-18: Kelly McGovern’s 13 digs and Julia Borschel’s six kills led host Sandburg in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Oak Lawn 26-23-25, Reavis 24-25-22: Christina Egan had 23 assists and 16 digs to guide visiting Oak Lawn (15-5, 8-1) in the South Suburban Red. Simona Tomczak aided the cause for the Spartans with 19 kills and six digs.
St. Anne 14-28-25, Beecher 25-26-22: Savanah Stluka had 11 assists, 10 kills and eight digs to pace host Beecher (12-7, 6-1) in the River Valley.
Morgan Park Academy 25-25, Willows 10-20: Isabelle Panozzo’s 10 kills keyed host Morgan Park Academy (10-6) in the Independent School League.
Bradley 25-25, Andrew 15-22: Lexi Pranckus had seven kills, Kaileen Herman had 15 assists and Mary Farrelly had 10 digs in starring for visiting Andrew (3-16, 0-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Lemont 4, Tinley Park 2: Teddy Trifunovski netted a hat trick to spur visiting Lemont (10-7-2, 8-2) in the South Suburban Blue. Steve Gonzalez had both goals for Tinley Park (11-4-1, 4-3).
Bloom 10, Rich Central 0: Juan Elizalde recorded three goals and three assists to lead host Bloom (12-4-2, 7-0) in the Southland.
Shepard 7, Oak Forest 0: Ivan Magana’s three goals and two assists guided visiting Shepard (7-6-1, 6-2) in the South Suburban crossover.
De La Salle 3, Gordon Tech 2: Simon Alzama scored all the goals for visiting De La Salle (4-13-1, 1-3-1) in the Catholic League North.
Joliet West 2, Homewood-Flossmoor 1 (SO): Stuart Moore and Alec Campos scored in the penalty-kick shootout for host Homewood-Flossmoor (4-10-3, 0-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Jonathan Brandt had the goal in regulation for the Vikings.
Providence 2, St. Laurence 1: Goals by Kevin Sullivan and Kevin Moriarty lifted visiting Providence (4-16, 3-3) in the Catholic League South.
Chicago Christian 2, St. Francis 1: Getenet Timmermans (assist) scored his school-record 89th career goal to spark host Chicago Christian (9-7-3, 4-3) in the Suburban Christian Gold. Timmermans’ brother, Fecadu, also scored for the Knights.
Reavis 2, Argo 1: Damian Opiola’s goal with 12 minutes remaining was the winner for host Reavis (12-5-2, 7-2) in the South Suburban Red. Jose Estrada also scored for the Rams.
Thornton co-op 4, Lincoln-Way Central 1: Emmanuel Zambrano scored twice to lead visiting Thornton co-op (14-2, 4-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Tyler Massa had the goal for Lincoln-Way Central (4-9-4, 0-4).
Crete-Monee 7, Rich East 2: Karon Spencer registered two goals for host Crete-Monee (10-4-1, 5-2) in the Southland.
St. Rita 1, Brother Rice 0: Kenny Siefert’s goal lifted host St. Rita (5-9-1, 4-2) in the Catholic League South.
Class 3A Marian Catholic Regional: Mike Millsaps and Casey Domke carded 76s in leading Marian Catholic (309) to the team title at Lincoln Oaks. Neil Doyle (78) and Ryan Kelly (79) also contributed for the Spartans, who bested fellow state qualifiers Homewood-Flossmoor (314) and Mount Carmel (330). H-F’s Jack Mulligan shot a 75 in winning medalist honors. Michael Goodman paced Mount Carmel with a 78. Eisenhower’s Vinny Curta (83) had the top score among the 10 golfers who qualified for the state tournament on an individual basis.
Class 2A Bishop McNamara Regional: Sean Knights finished with an 84 in pacing Lincoln-Way West (353) to a second-place finish behind Joliet Catholic (345) at Kankakee Elks in St. Anne. Andrew O’Keefe chipped in an 89 for the Warriors, who finished six shots ahead of Morris (359). Joliet Catholic’s Dyllan Mattea (80) was the medalist.
Class 2A Oak Forest Regional: Oak Forest (317) captured the title thanks to medalist Dave Karwoski, who shot a 75 at Dunne National. Blaine Wright carded a 76 for runner-up Chicago Christian and Matthew Zandstra had an 81 to lead third-place Illiana Christian (347). Rich Central’s Quentin Jones (91) led the 10 area at-large representatives to the state meet.
Class 2A St. Rita Regional: St. Laurence’s Jordan Velez (70) had the best score among at-large qualifiers to the state tournament. St. Rita’s Liam Walsh (81), Evergreen Park’s J.R. Wazio (83) and Brendan Walsh (84), and St. Laurence’s Jack Laski (86) also advanced on an individual basis. Glenbard South (283) won the team championship, topping runner-up St. Francis by 16 strokes at The Meadows.
Class 1A Putnam Country Regional: Medalist Michael Barber (74) guided Beecher (345) to first place at Edgewood in McNabb. Jack Costello, of Morgan Park Academy, shot a 78 to gain an individual berth in the state tournament.
Illiana Christian 3, Marian Catholic 2: Hilary VanDrunen and Miranda Bouwer prevailed at No. 1 doubles to aid host Illiana Christian. Gaby Rosales posted a win at No. 1 singles for Marian Catholic.
Homewood-Flossmoor 7, Lincoln-Way North 0: Lauren Mansfield and Ryan Kenton prevailed at No. 4 doubles for host Homewood-Flossmoor in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.
Providence 3, Plainfield North 2: Kelly Ruane’s victory at No. 1 singles made the difference for host Providence (18-6).
Stagg 4, Lincoln-Way Central 3: Nicole Pamphilis (No. 1) and Jillian Atkenson (No. 2) recorded singles wins for host Stagg in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Jana Mudrock and Marlee McCabe (No. 2 doubles) were among the winners for Lincoln-Way Central.
Andrew 6, Bolingbrook 1: Jenny Jackich won at No. 1 singles to lead visiting Andrew (8-5, 3-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Lemont 4, Tinley Park 1: Carli Serpe won her match at No. 2 singles to aid host Lemont (8-6, 5-1) in the South Suburban Blue.
Aurora Central Catholic 3, Chicago Christian 2: Jill Dowdy and Bre Vollan won at No. 3 doubles for visiting Chicago Christian in the Suburban Christian dual.
Homewood-Flossmoor 106, Marian Catholic 77: Wins by Amber Barney in the 100-yard butterfly (1 minute, 2.77 seconds) and 200 freestyle (2:05.84) sparked host Homewood-Flossmoor. Marian Catholic’s Abby Kresal was victorious in the 200 individual medley (2:16.30) and 500 free (5:34.73).
Shepard 67, Thornton Fractional co-op 27: Grace Spindler prevailed in the 200 free (2:19.65) and 500 free (6:19.88) for visiting Shepard in the South Suburban crossover. Jessica Maricich led Thornton Fractional co-op with victories in the 50 free (27.02 seconds) and 100 fly (1:06.64).
Oak Forest 120, Bremen 61: Sarah Minnich won the 100 backstroke (1:13.52), 200 free (2:21.11) and 500 free (6:12.83) to power host Oak Forest in the South Suburban Blue.
St. Xavier 5, Trinity International 0: Marco Gutierrez contributed three goals and an assist to lead host St. Xavier (4-6, 4-1) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Kyle Held made four saves in recording his third shutout.
Trinity Christian 25-25-25, St. Francis 21-21-21: Kaitlin Feddema had a match-high 10 kills to lead Trinity Christian (23-4, 10-0) in the CCAC. Erynn Schuh added 29 assists for the Trolls, who snapped St. Francis’ 17-match homecourt winning streak.
Judson 33-25-25, St. Xavier 31-19-20: Meghan Falsey totaled nine kills and 14 digs for visiting St. Xavier (9-10, 4-5) in the CCAC. Kelli Shaffer added 18 assists and 17 digs for the Cougars.
