Andrew 25-25, Thornton 11-10: Kaileen Herman had 19 assists, five digs and three aces to spark visiting Andrew (4-16, 1-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Nicole Bernardi added seven kills for the Thunderbolts.
Chicago Christian 25-25, Marian Central Catholic 20-21: Jessica Krygsheld (9 digs), Anna Kamp and Leah Kamp provided six kills apiece for host Chicago Christian (20-7, 6-1). Emily Workman tacked on eight assists for the Knights in the Suburban Christian Blue.
De La Salle 25-25, Queen of Peace 21-14: Kyra White chalked up nine kills and Carleigh Barringer posted 11 digs for host De La Salle (22-7, 4-3) in the GCAC Red.
Bremen 7, Richards 0: Alejandro Mendoza netted two goals for visiting Bremen (14-3-1, 8-0) in the South Suburban crossover.
Illinois Lutheran 5, Oak Forest 4: Justin Schmidtke (assist) scored twice to boost visiting Illinois Lutheran (14-6). Evan Henschel and Luke Egeler each added one goal and one assist for the Chargers.
Class AA Lemont Regional: Bridget Lynn shot an 82 in pacing Lemont (356) to third place and a berth in the state tournament. Laura Ringo (87), Emma Houran (93) and Stephanie Eby (94) also starred for the Indians at Broken Arrow. Hinsdale Central (315) won the title ahead of Lyons (325), which produced the medalist in Macy Tabachka (76).
Class AA St. Ignatius Regional: De La Salle’s Emily Brown led all competitors with a 79 at Cog Hill’s No. 1 Course. Oak Forest (363) captured the team crown by 36 strokes over runner-up Trinity. St. Ignatius (403) came in third.
Class A Putnam County Regional: Jessie Ackman (90) propelled Beecher (437) to a third-place showing behind Putnam County (388) and St. Bede (430) at Edgewood in Granville. Samantha Higgins (108), of Southland College Prep, also secured a spot in the state finals.
Class A Ridgewood Regional: Jackie Honings carded a team-best 104 in pacing Mount Assisi (451) to the team crown at White Pines in Bensenville. Colleen Sullivan (112) and Haleigh Biernacki (113) were among the other contributors for the Eagles. Evergreen Park’s Biz Stalla (99) earned an at-large berth to the state meet.
Providence 3, Illiana Christian 2: Lizzie Eggen and Mary Beth Galick (No. 2 doubles) won in three sets to lift host Providence (19-6). The Celtics also received victories from Hannah Davis at No. 1 singles and the No. 1 doubles team of Maggie and Kelly Ruane.
Trinity International 1, St. Xavier 0: Alex Perry made nine saves for host St. Xavier (3-7-1, 1-4) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
