Girls Basketball

Lincoln-Way East 40, Stagg 32: Claire McMahon totaled 14 points and 11 rebounds to boost visiting Lincoln-Way East (7-1, 2-0). Kara Krolicki tacked on 10 points for the Griffins in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Mia DiGiacomo had 12 points for Stagg (3-5, 0-2).

Lincoln-Way West 49, Lemont 46: Courtney O’Donnell poured in 19 points and Kaitlin Matthews netted 18 to vault host Lincoln-Way West (6-2). Kim Jerantowski provided 17 points for Lemont (5-5).

Oak Forest 54, Illiana Christian 39: Maddie Baxa (17 points) and Taylor Sterkowitz (11) were the primary scorers for host Oak Forest (6-4). Gabby Kreykes, of Illiana Christian (3-8), led all scorers with 23 points.

Lincoln-Way Central 78, Thornwood 51: Kelsie Foster’s 17 points and six assists led visiting Lincoln-Way Central (5-4, 1-1). Jenna Meyers also starred for the Knights, contributing 12 points and five rebounds in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Reavis 49, Queen of Peace 25: Katelyn LoRusso racked up 15 points to power host Reavis (5-5). Paulina Gal chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds for the Rams.

Iroquois West Tournament

Beecher 37, Herscher 31: Taylor Johnson scored 14 points and Sam Pilbeam added 11 to lead Beecher (9-3).

Boys Bowling

Reavis 1,892, Argo 1,573: Reavis’ Orlando Sanmiguel led all competitors with a 252 game and 428 series in the South Suburban Red dual at AMF Forest Lanes in Lyons.

Hillcrest 1,713, Lincoln-Way East 1,528: Xavier Muhammad’s 228 game and 398 series sparked Hillcrest at Brunswick Zone XL in Homewood. Jake Smith paced Lincoln-Way East with a 352 series.

Andrew 2,057, Lincoln-Way Central 1,908: Mike Dertz (462 series) and Brad Kawulia (446) each rolled a 251 game for Andrew in the SouthWest Suburban Red dual at Laraway Lanes. Brandon Brzowski garnered a 253 game and 424 series to lift Lincoln-Way Central.

Brother Rice 2,775, De La Salle 2,577: Nick Smith notched a 210 game and 612 series to carry Brother Rice in the Catholic League South meet. De La Salle’s Matt Corona finished with a 213 game and 514 series at Town Hall Bowl in Cicero.

Shepard 2,952, Lemont 2,671: Matt Shaw’s 256 game and Eric Walters’ 638 series aided Shepard in the South Suburban crossover at Strike N Spare II. Brennen Legan had a 240 game and meet-high 646 series for Lemont.

Girls Bowling

Lincoln-Way West 1,525, Stagg 1,307: Jessie Schram, of Lincoln-Way West, paced the field with a 201 game and 352 series in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Palos Lanes.

Oak Lawn 1,434, Rich Central 1,254: Oak Lawn’s Shannon McGuire recorded the best game (209) and series (406) at Palos Lanes.

Lincoln-Way East 1,318, Joliet Central 1,282: Jackie Mlinarcik notched a meet-high 341 series to power Lincoln-Way East in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Crest Hill Lanes.

Boys Swimming

Andrew 134, Lincoln-Way West 39: Zack Rentner won the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 49.60 seconds) and 500 freestyle (5:08.23) to key host Andrew in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Lincoln-Way West’s Jacob Carlson prevailed in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.06).
