Boys Basketball

Mount Carmel 62, Rich Central 44: David Nichols finished with 20 points to pace host Mount Carmel (7-2). Brody Love had 11 points and 11 rebounds for Rich Central (1-7).

Thornton 66, Andrew 41: Keondre Woods came off the bench to score a team-high 15 points for host Thornton (5-5, 2-1). Justin Taylor tacked on 11 points and five rebounds for the Wildcats in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Jarvion Franklin (5 rebounds) netted 17 points for Andrew (3-4, 0-3) and Gino Karopulos had 15.

De La Salle 55, St. Laurence 48: Martez Cameron dropped in 16 points and Karl Harris scored 14 to lift host De La Salle (4-4, 2-2) in the Catholic League crossover. Rich Lamb posted 15 points to lead St. Laurence (1-7, 0-4) and Romello Radford added 11.

Thornwood 67, Thornridge 55: Donte Thomas chalked up 22 points and eight rebounds for host Thornwood (6-2, 3-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Rashaad Alexander also starred for the Thunderbirds, contributing 18 points. Carly Henry’s 15 points were the most for Thornridge (1-8, 0-3). The Falcons also received 13 points from Darrion Robinson (9 rebounds) and 12 from Victor Trout.

Lockport 34, Sandburg 31: Grover Anderson scored 11 points to spark host Lockport (4-4, 2-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Niko Cahue and Niko Kogionis had 10 points each for Sandburg (3-5, 1-2).

Rich East 77, Providence 69: Quentin Moore piled up 30 points to lead host Rich East (3-2). Troy Howatt had 19 points for Providence (4-4).

Watseka Tournament

Donovan 63, Beecher 60: Marshall Landis poured in 17 points to pace Beecher (2-9) in the seventh-place game. Tristan Burkhardt and Dallas Saddler tacked on 12 points apiece for the Bobcats.

Girls Basketball

Ag. Science 62, Longwood 25: April Baar netted 17 points and LaTrece Roberts scored 10 to lead host Ag. Science (4-7, 3-5) in the Public League Chicago South.

Bradley 46, Andrew 37: Michelle Borgen had 11 points and Kayla Smith added 10 to pace host Andrew (2-6, 0-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Boys Bowling

Oak Forest 1,643, Hillcrest 1,515: Mike Wojtanowski (216 game) bowled a 385 series to guide Oak Forest in the South Suburban Blue meet at Brunswick Zone XL in Homewood.

Tinley Park 2,047, T.F. South 1,949: Tinley Park’s Mike Bennett was the leading individual by virtue of his 248 game and 463 series at Centennial Lanes. Taveon Roberson paced T.F. South with a 247 game and 431 series in the South Suburban Blue.

Bremen 1,813, Oak Lawn 1,750: Jake Chicoine garnered a 403 series to lift Bremen in the South Suburban crossover at Oak Forest Bowl.

Lincoln-Way West 2,100, Lincoln-Way North 2,046: David Eggert rolled a 254 game and 478 series to carry Lincoln-Way West in the SouthWest Suburban Red meet at Tinley Park Bowl. Eric Ullian (265 game) tacked on a 452 series for the Warriors. Jack Carlson’s 421 series was the highest for Lincoln-Way North.

Reavis 1,843, Richards 1,771: Orlando Sanmiguel, of Reavis, produced the top game (234) and series (423) at El-Mar Bowl. Akia Lewis had a 390 series for Richards in the South Suburban Red.

Girls Bowling

Lemont 1,677, Oak Forest 1,415: Lemont’s Kyra Udziela led all competitors with a 254 game and 433 series in the South Suburban Blue. Erica Bergstrom had a team-high 327 series for Oak Forest at Strike N Spare II.

Richards 1,818, Tinley Park 1,734: Sara McNeilly posted a 243 game and 434 series to boost Richards in the South Suburban crossover at Arena Lanes.

Eisenhower 1,441, T.F. South 1,430: Jasmine Hampton’s 341 series led Eisenhower in the South Suburban crossover at Burr Oak Bowl.

Evergreen Park 1,671, Bremen 1,645: Evergreen Park’s Sarah Klawitter (225 game) was the leading individual after racking up a 407 series in the South Suburban crossover. Bree Olson had a 224 game and 392 series for Bremen at Arena Lanes.

Hillcrest 1,551, Reavis 1,440: Zakariah McGrew (199 game) contributed a 362 series to aid Hillcrest in the South Suburban crossover at Brunswick Zone XL in Homewood.

Argo 1,465, T.F. North 1,357: Nicole Marrotta finished a meet-high 374 series to propel Argo in the South Suburban crossover at Castaways Bowl.

Oak Lawn 1,454, Shepard 1,247: Oak Lawn’s Shannon McGuire led the field with a 194 game and 328 series in the South Suburban Red dual at Centennial Lanes. Miranda Lindgren had a 318 series for Shepard.

Boys Swimming

Reavis 52, Thornton Fractional co-op: Matt Blicharski posted the fastest times in the 100-yard backstroke (1 minute, 3.41 seconds) and 500 freestyle (5:16.25) to guide visiting Reavis in the South Suburban crossover. T.F. South Corey Postema prevailed in the 50 free (24.25 seconds) and 100 free (54.75).

Men’s Basketball

South Suburban 62, Lake Michigan 59: Lavell Boyd’s three-pointer with 12 seconds remaining won it for visiting South Suburban (12-2). Antonio Levy led the Bulldogs with 17 points.
