Big Dipper Tournament
Rich East 70, King 63: Calvin Harrington recorded 22 points and nine rebounds for Rich East (6-3) in the fifth-place contest. Don Henderson tacked on 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Rockets.
Hales 66, Rich South 56 (OT): Denzel Kimbrough put in 16 points and Bryce Lydon scored 13 to power Rich South (8-5) in the seventh-place game. Jeremy Ruffin aided the cause for the Stars with 10 points and seven rebounds.
Leo 70, Crete-Monee 59: Darius Oliver scored 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds to propel Leo (7-6) in the consolation championship. Darius Branch chipped in 20 points for the Lions. Tyler Williams led Crete-Monee (8-5) with 24 points.
Rich Central 54, U-High 43: Arthur Sutton (16 points) and Quentin Jones (10 points, 14 rebounds) led Rich Central (4-9) in the consolation fifth-place game.
East Aurora Tournament
Oak Lawn 73, Aurora Central Catholic 71: Ibrahim Samara’s three-pointer from the right wing with three seconds remaining lifted Oak Lawn (3-6) in the fifth-place game. Josh Prince led the Spartans with 20 points, Mitch Swatek scored 17 and Samara netted 16.
Proviso West Tournament
Westinghouse 56, T.F. South 44: Ronald Ryan had a team-leading 12 points for T.F. South (6-8) in the consolation semifinal.
Glenbard South 71, Shepard 50: Jacob Littleton had 14 points to boost Shepard (5-7) in the third-place game.
Lincoln-Way West 71, Lincoln-Way East 46: Anton Marotta’s 20 points set the tone for Lincoln-Way West (7-3) in the fifth-place game. Marco Pettinato (17 points, 7 rebounds) and Hayden Witt (13 points) also contributed for the Warriors. Lincoln-Way East fell to 3-8.
Reavis 65, Chicago Christian 55: Eddie Puha’s 27 points and 15 rebounds guided Reavis (9-4) in the seventh-place contest. Abdal Ishtaiah added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Rams. Blaine Wright had 20 points for Chicago Christian (5-8) and Marcus Parker netted 13.
Argo 55, Joliet Catholic 39: Tyler Mitchell scored 20 points to pace Argo (4-8) in the consolation third-place game. Bryant Smith added 13 points for the Argonauts and Victor Gordon scored 10.
Lemont 57, Urban Prep-Bronzeville 50: Mike Wisz had 22 points to help Lemont (8-6) finish 13th.
Stagg 65, Palatine 43: Max Strus chalked up 35 points to propel Stagg (12-3) in the championship bracket.
Providence 50, Sandburg 49: Miles Boykin scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Providence (6-7).
Brother Rice 43, Minooka 28: Quinn Niego had 19 points and Ray Rubio 12 to pace Brother Rice (5-7).
Evanston 57, Mother McAuley 46: Elizabeth Nye had 13 points and five assists to spark Mother McAuley (12-4) in the third-place game. Raven Willis added 11 points for the Mighty Macs, whose other standout was Erin Drynan (8 points, 9 rebounds).
Illiana Christian 52, Walther Christian 50: Gabby Kreykes had 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead Illiana Christian (6-10) in the consolation third-place contest. Tatum Oppenhuis and Janna Vree each tacked on 12 points and eight rebounds for the Vikings.
