Boys Basketball

Reavis 62, Montini 53: Eddie Puha poured in 22 points and Dawid Kasprzak netted 15 to guide visiting Reavis (10-4).

Timberwolves Shootout

Minneapolis De La Salle 59, St. Rita 53: Dominique Matthews scored 17 points and his brother, Charles, added 11 to lead St. Rita (5-4) at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Girls Basketball

Lemont 44, Chicago Christian 40: Kim Jerantowski’s game-high 15 points boosted visiting Lemont (8-8). Kaycee Pittman had 13 points for Chicago Christian (4-11).

Wrestling

Cheesehead Invitational: Brian Rossi (113 pounds) and Tyler Johnson (195) won their respective weight classes in powering Lockport (492 points) to a third-place showing in the 26-team meet in Kaukauna, Wis. Mount Carmel (361) finished eighth in the two-day tournament, thanks in part to Bryce Bill, who captured top honors at 152 pounds. Austin O’Connor (106) also was a first-place winner in helping St. Rita (337.50) finish 10th.

The Clash XII: Marist and Sandburg each went 4-2 in the 32-team, weekend tournament in Rochester, Minn. Marist won the title among teams that finished second in their respective brackets. Alex Benoit (182) had three victories on the day – two by pin – to lead the RedHawks, who closed with a 46-21 romp over New Jersey’s Bound Brook. Sandburg ended with a 36-24 loss to Nebraska’s Skutt Catholic to finish third in the fifth-place bracket. Adam Welgnet (145) registered two pins and a victory by decision on the day for the Eagles.

Tinley Park triangular: Eric Schultz (170) had a victory as Tinley Park defeated Fenton 27-25 and lost to Andrew 39-33.

Men’s Basketball

South Suburban 80, Triton 74: Johnnie Stevens scored 24 points to spark visiting South Suburban (14-2). Antonio Levy tacked on 21 points for the Bulldogs and Jalen Brown had 11.
