THE SKINNY

In a game of huge streaks, Bolingbrook (11-2, 5-0) stayed alone atop the SouthWest Suburban Blue with Friday’s road win. The Raiders scored the first six points in overtime.

TURNING POINT

Center Kenny Williams’ putback as the fourth-quarter buzzer sounded knotted the game at 61 and energized the Raiders, who struggled during long stretches of the game against the Vikings (7-7, 3-2).

THE STAR

Prentiss Nixon had 21 points, including two electrifying fourth-quarter slams after steals. He also hit a three-pointer with 33 seconds left in regulation, just seconds after H-F took a four-point lead.

BY THE NUMBERS

H-F had a 15-point blitz to go ahead 26-9. Bolingbrook had a 22-0 run to go ahead 35-30. H-F followed that immediately with a 13-0 run to go ahead 43-35 and Bolingbrook immediately followed that with a seven-point run to close the gap to 43-42.

QUOTABLE

“Coach (Rob Brost) instilled in us that there will be games where we make a run and they make a run, but the team with the most heart will come out on top.” — Williams
