Boys Basketball

Stagg 60, Argo 44: Sebastian Kolpak’s 16 points guided host Stagg (13-5). Tyler Mitchell had 15 points to pace Argo (5-11).

Morgan Park Academy 70, North Shore Country Day 62: Nick Boarden poured in 21 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to key visiting Morgan Park Academy (6-10, 2-4). Theo Norris tacked on 13 points and six assists for the Warriors in the Independent School League.

Lockport 56, Lincoln-Way North 45: John Campbell had 18 points to aid visiting Lockport (10-7) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Jeremy Toussaint’s 16 points led Lincoln-Way North (3-12).

Bradley 88, Southland Prep 41: Ehrmahn Kwarten scored eight points to lead visiting Southland Prep (3-9).

St. Laurence 66, Hancock 14: Chris Carli had 12 points (5 rebounds) and Kevin Aderman (5 rebounds) had 11 for host St. Laurence (3-13).

Illiana Christian 67, Oak Forest 57: Caleb Jonkman had 21 points to ignite host Illiana Christian (8-7). Tom Shute, of Oak Forest (14-3), led all scorers with 23 points.

St. Rita 81, Bishop McNamara 45: Dominique Matthews scored 21 points to lead host St. Rita (8-6, 4-1) in the Catholic League South.

Girls Basketball

Morgan Park Academy 44, Woodlands 25: Gabby Ogbevire had 16 points and Bhy Williams scored 15 to lead visiting Morgan Park Academy (7-8, 1-2) in the Independent School League.

Lincoln-Way North 67, Thornridge 27: Kayla Kieklak netted 16 points to propel visiting Lincoln-Way North (16-4, 6-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Ellen Graham aided the cause for the Phoenix with 13 points and eight rebounds. Thornridge fell to 3-15, 1-6.

Lincoln-Way West 67, Thornwood 51: Kaitlyn Mathews racked up 20 points and Daniele Morgan added 15 to power visiting Lincoln-Way West (11-7, 3-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Lemont 34, T.F. North 33: Shannon O’Donnell scored 11 points — including the game-winning layup with 20 seconds remaining — to lift visiting Lemont (11-9, 5-3) in the South Suburban Blue. Tyra Johnson contributed a game-high 17 points for T.F. North (6-9, 2-5), which also received nine points from Chanel Howard.

Oak Lawn 61, Argo 41: Brianna Markusic totaled 17 points and nine rebounds for host Oak Lawn (17-1, 7-1) in the South Suburban Red. LaTondra Brooks (16 points, 8 steals) and Jannah Mahmoud (10 points, 7 rebounds) also starred for the Spartans. Sharnita Breeze was tops for Argo (6-12, 1-6) with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Stagg 44, Joliet West 28: Casey McMahon scored 18 points and Hannah Henderson had 10 for visiting Stagg (9-9, 3-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Mount Assisi 54, Queen of Peace 41: Marykate Wetzel compiled 17 points and six assists to propel host Mount Assisi (8-14) in the GCAC crossover. Jess Moriarty added 15 points for the Eagles and Sabrina Miller had 11.

Homewood-Flossmoor 63, Lincoln-Way East 50: Faith Suggs had 16 points and Lexi Smith added 11 for host Homewood-Flossmoor (14-2, 7-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Kara Krolicki (25 points) and Claire McMahon (11) led Lincoln-Way East (13-4, 4-2).

Tinley Park 62, Bremen 45: Caitlin Sudduth scored 18 points and Lauren Buckwalter 10 for visiting Tinley Park (11-11, 5-3) in the South Suburban Blue.

Joliet Central 60, Lockport 55 (OT): Tia Parrinello had 21 points and Jamari McAfee added 14 for host Lockport (7-9, 2-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Bolingbrook 56, Sandburg 49: Julia Ruzevich (19 points) and Sam Youngwirth (9) led visiting Sandburg (12-9, 3-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Eisenhower 45, Shepard 41: Asia Dampier finished with 23 points, 14 rebounds and six assists for visiting Eisenhower (5-13, 2-4) in the South Suburban Red. Courtney Dalton had a team-leading 12 points for Shepard (5-15, 2-6).

Reavis 55, Richards 46: Ashley Galason, Paulina Gal and Jakki Padilla netted 12 points apiece for host Reavis (12-8, 5-3) in South Suburban Red. Sydni Tears garnered 16 points to pace Richards (7-10, 2-6) and Taylor Sonichsen had 11.

Beecher 53, Grant Park 36: Taylor Johnson had 18 points to power host Beecher (15-5, 8-0) in the River Valley.

T.F. South 49, Oak Forest 28: Ren’Cia Rolling netted 18 points and distributed six assists to set the pace for visiting T.F. South (16-3, 7-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Oak Forest fell to 8-10, 5-3.

Morgan Park 50, Simeon 42: Shami Goodman piled up 21 points, seven rebounds and seven steals to guide host Morgan Park (15-2, 8-0) in the Public League Windy City South.

Girls Bowling

Joliet West 1,748, Stagg 1,373: Julie Kowalski, of Joliet West, led all bowlers with a 221 game and 424 series at Palos Lanes. Kylee Murray led Stagg with a 345 series in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Argo 1,639, Reavis 1,637: Diana Idrogo notched a 210 game and 360 series to guide Argo in the South Suburban Red meet at AMF Forest Lanes in Lyons.

Oak Forest 1,527, Oak Lawn 1,480: Oak Lawn’s Shannon McGuire led the field with a 214 game and 383 series at Palos Lanes. Lainey Larsen contributed a 189 game and 335 series to boost Oak Forest in the South Suburban crossover.

Shepard 1,528, Eisenhower 1,497: Miranda Lindgren (203 game) posted a meet-best 360 series to spark Shepard in the South Suburban Red dual at Centennial Lanes.

Andrew 1,735, Lincoln-Way East 1,543: Andrew’s Jessie Hallas was the standout of the SouthWest Suburban Red after rolling a 233 game and 420 series at Orland Bowl.

Tinley Park 1,763, Bremen 1,512: Mallory Fischer (231 game) and Sonya Addison (417 series) lifted Tinley Park at Centennial Lanes. Gabi Grutzius led Bremen with a 339 series in the South Suburban Red.

Lockport 1,856, Joliet Central 1,399: Ashley Hostert’s 265 game and 466 series spurred Lockport in the SouthWest Suburban Blue meet at Crest Hill Lanes.

Richards 1,831, Evergreen Park 1,784: Evergreen Park’s Sarah Klawitter was atop of the pack with a 279 game and 524 series at Arena Lanes. Sara McNeilly had a 252 game and 415 series to pace Richards in the South Suburban Red.

Lincoln-Way North 1,583, Lincoln-Way Central 1,487: Katie Utsch recorded a 342 series to lead Lincoln-Way North in the SouthWest Suburban Red dual at Tinley Park Bowl.

Boys Swimming

Lincoln-Way East 127, Homewood-Flossmoor 49: Wins by Andy Grever in the 100-yard backstroke (59.49 seconds) and 200 freestyle (1 minute, 54.87 seconds) led visiting Lincoln-Way East. Drew Loeffel added victories in the 200 individual medley (2:18.22) and 500 free (5:21.17) for the Griffins in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Homewood-Flossmoor’s Hayden Santefort was a winner in the 50 free (23.70).

Men’s Basketball

South Suburban 123, Robert Morris JV 62: Antonio Levy had 29 points and nine rebounds to pace host South Suburban (18-3). Charles Knowles (24 points, 14 rebounds) and Jalen Brown (20 points, 13 rebounds) also contributed for the Bulldogs.

Men’s Volleyball

Robert Morris 21-25-25-23-16, St. Xavier 25-16-19-25-14: Jacob Siska had 37 assists and Sam Kull 15 kills to lead visiting St. Xavier (0-4) in its Great Lakes Valley opener.
