Boys Basketball

Rich East 75, Rich Central 53: Quinton Moore scored 21 points and Don Henderson added 14 to pace visiting Rich East (11-3, 3-2) in the Southland. Rich Central fell to 5-12, 1-4.

Oak Forest 52, T.F. North 46: Tom Shute finished with 17 points and Kyle Flanagan netted 15 to lift visiting Oak Forest (15-3, 7-1) in the South Suburban Blue. Jalen Tribble (15 points) was the top scorer for T.F. North (7-10, 4-4).

Thornridge 51, Andrew 47: Victor Trout tossed in 14 points and Xavier Robinson scored 13 to propel host Thornridge (5-13, 2-4). Darrion Robinson tacked on 10 points and seven rebounds for the Falcons in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Aaron Williams led Andrew (3-12, 0-6) with 12 points and five rebounds. Luke Hook (7 rebounds) chipped in 11 points for the Thunderbolts and Jarvion Franklin had 10.

Rich South 55, Crete-Monee 43: Myles McCoy racked up 16 points to key host Rich South (9-9, 3-2). The Stars also received 15 points from Bryce Lydon and 10 rebounds from Jeremy Ruffin. Bobby Parker and Tyler Williams posted 10 points each for Crete-Monee (11-8, 3-2).

Mount Carmel 41, Gordon Tech 38: David Nichols notched a game-best 20 points to steer visiting Mount Carmel (15-6, 6-2) in the Catholic League North.

Homewood-Flossmoor 52, Sandburg 39: Tai Odiase provided 13 points to pace a balanced attack for host Homewood-Flossmoor (8-7, 4-2). Emmanuel Watts, Davon Smith and Destin Barnes added 10 points apiece for the Vikings in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Tommy Demogerontas had 14 points to lead Sandburg (6-10, 2-4).

Brother Rice 66, Seton 43: Ray Rubio totaled 21 points and Quinn Niego added 18 to carry visiting Brother Rice (9-9, 3-4) in the Catholic League South. Tim Townsel contributed nine points for Seton.

Eisenhower 94, Reavis 85: Vinny Curta rang up 18 points and Khalil Williams had 15 to set the tone for host Eisenhower (6-14, 3-5) in the South Suburban Red. Eddie Puha and Abdal Ishtaiah netted 33 points each for Reavis (12-6, 3-4).

St. Joseph 73, St. Laurence 62: Quentin Forberg had 22 points and Romello Radford scored 11 to pace host St. Laurence (3-14, 0-8) in the Catholic League North.

Montini 51, Chicago Christian 42: Blaine Wright’s 12 points were the most for host Chicago Christian (7-10, 1-5) in the Suburban Christian Gold.

Illiana Christian 62, Ridgewood 49: Caleb Jonkman, of host Illiana Christian (9-7, 3-3), led all scorers with 33 points in the Metro Suburban.

Shepard 51, Evergreen Park 48: Jacob Littleton had 25 points and Darren Cohen scored 13 to boost visiting Shepard (8-9, 5-3) in the South Suburban Red. Evergreen Park fell to 9-9, 1-7.

Latin 67, Morgan Park Academy 55: Eugene Gorleku put in 24 points to spark host Latin (8-7, 4-3) in the Independent School League. Morgan Park Academy dropped to 6-11, 2-5.

Girls Basketball

Argo 45, Evergreen Park 36: Chely Arreola chalked up 18 points for host Argo (7-12, 2-6) in the South Suburban Red. Sharnita Breeze added 10 points for the Argonauts and Amy Kinney scored nine.

Immaculate Conception 39, Chicago Christian 35: Anna Persenaire contributed a team-high eight points for host Chicago Christian (5-12, 2-5) in the Suburban Christian Gold.

Oak Forest 49, Bremen 22: Taylor Sterkowitz (16 points) and Maddie Baxa (14) were the primary scorers for host Oak Forest (9-10, 6-3) in the South Suburban Blue.

Men’s Volleyball

Lewis 23-25-25-25, Harvard 25-16-17-14: BJ Boldog passed out 45 assists and Eric Fitterer drilled 18 kills to pace visiting Lewis (5-2). Geoff Powell (15 kills, 10 digs) and Greg Petty (11 kills) also starred for the Flyers.

Women’s Tennis

Northern Illinois 5, Lewis 2: Zsofia Lanstiak (No. 1) and Zsofia Kranczicki (No. 2) posted singles wins for Lewis (0-1) in Aurora.
