Boys Basketball

Lincoln-Way West 55, Lincoln-Way North 45: Jon Marotta put in 20 points and Hayden Witt added 16 to spark host Lincoln-Way West (11-7, 5-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. J.T. Limon provided 19 points for Lincoln-Way North (3-16, 1-8).

Lemont 46, Bremen 36: Mike Wisz finished with 17 points, four rebounds and three steals to boost visiting Lemont (10-10, 5-4) in the South Suburban Blue. Bremen fell to 6-13, 1-8.

Morgan Park Academy 69, Elgin Academy 22: Nick Boarden totaled 15 points and 10 rebounds to pace host Morgan Park Academy (7-14, 3-7) in the Independent School League. Josh Deans (12 points) and Sam Bell (11) also starred for the Warriors.

Stagg 57, Lincoln-Way East 42: Kevin White’s 19 points guided host Stagg (16-6, 5-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Tommy DiNaso had 12 points and four rebounds for Lincoln-Way East (6-14, 1-8).

Bradley 54, Andrew 44: Luke Hook netted 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to set the pace for host Andrew (4-15, 1-8) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Aaron Williams tacked on 12 points for the Thunderbolts.

Eisenhower 81, Argo 67: Vinny Curta registered 25 points to show the way for visiting Eisenhower (9-15, 5-5) in the South Suburban Red. Calviontae Washington (6 three-pointers) added 20 points for the Cardinals. Tyler Mitchell paced Argo (8-13, 5-6) with 22 points.

Beecher 71, Donovan 51: Marshall Landis recorded 16 points and Tristan Burkhardt had 14 to power host Beecher (5-14, 2-6) in the River Valley. Tanner Saddler added 11 rebounds for the Bobcats.

Richards 66, Evergreen Park 58: Josh Meier contributed 27 points and Spencer Tears netted 20 to key visiting Richards (14-9, 7-2) in the South Suburban Red. Issac Matthews put in a team-high 22 points for Evergreen Park (10-11, 1-8).

Oak Lawn 48, Reavis 46: Ibrahim Samra sank two free throws with 12 seconds remaining to steer host Oak Lawn (7-12, 3-7) in the South Suburban Red. Josh Prince (11 points, 11 rebounds) and Leo Nelson (10 points) also contributed for the Spartans. Eddie Puha scored 18 points to lead Reavis (12-8, 3-6).

Leo 55, St. Laurence 51: Martez Hampton turned in 18 points and Darius Branch scored 13 to aid visiting Leo (8-11, 2-7) in the Catholic League North. Quentin Forberg’s 16 points were the most for St. Laurence (4-16, 0-9), which also received 13 points from Bob Kelly.

Illinois Lutheran 62, Grant Park 41: Mack Newson dropped in 16 points to lead a balanced attack for visiting Illinois Lutheran (12-3, 7-2) in the River Valley. Justin Schmidtke added 12 points for the Chargers, Collin Borns scored 11 and Sam Geraci had 10.

Providence 53, Bishop McNamara 46: Miles Boykin notched 14 points and nine rebounds for host Providence (10-10, 4-6) in the Catholic League South.

Crete-Monee 90, Kankakee 80: Tyler Williams scored 25 points to pave the way for host Crete-Monee (12-9, 4-3) in the Southland. Mike Nelson added 20 points for the Warriors and Brandon Johnson netted 18.

Girls Basketball

Andrew 49, Lincoln-Way West 48 (2 OTs): Michelle Borgen finished with 20 points – including the winning free throw – to lift host Andrew (14-9, 8-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Molly Franson added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Thunderbolts. Danielle Morgan put in a team-high 16 points for Lincoln-Way West (14-8, 6-5).

Stagg 42, Sandburg 40: Hannah Henderson’s three-pointer with 15 seconds left propelled host Stagg (10-13, 4-8) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Casey McMahon and Noor Elmosa led the Chargers in scoring with 10 points apiece. Sandburg slipped to 15-11, 6-6.

Lincoln-Way North 53, Thornton 30: Kayla Kieklak garnered 20 points to spur host Lincoln-Way North (20-5, 10-2). Ellen Graham tacked on seven points and 10 rebounds for the Phoenix in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Lincoln-Way East 60, Lockport 34: Jill Connolly compiled 14 points and eight rebounds to aid host Lincoln-Way East (19-4, 10-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Dana O’Grady chipped in 12 points and seven assists for the Griffins. Lockport is 9-13, 4-8.

Homewood-Flossmoor 69, Bolingbrook 43: Destiny Harris racked up 12 points and Lexi Smith netted 10 to carry host Homewood-Flossmoor (19-2, 12-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Evergreen Park 51, Shepard 49: Maddie Bojacek’s two free throws with 10 seconds remaining was the difference for visiting Evergreen Park (13-12, 4-7) in the South Suburban Red. Erica Carridine led the Mustangs with 13 points, Nicole Larkin scored 12 and Megan Pfister netted 11. Courtney Dalton garnered 16 points and 16 rebounds to pace Shepard (5-18, 2-8).

Chicago Christian 50, St. Francis 46: Kaycee Pittman delivered 19 points for visiting Chicago Christian (7-13, 3-6) in the Suburban Christian Gold. Anica Pausma and Anna Personnaire added 13 points apiece for the Knights.

Oak Forest 39, T.F. North 35: Sabrina Baxa and Christasia Fountain provided eight points each for visiting Oak Forest (11-12, 8-3) in the South Suburban Blue. Chanel Howard posted 13 points to lead T.F. North (7-12, 4-8).

College Baseball

Georgetown (Ky.) 3-3, St. Francis 1-0: Luke Wyss (2-for-3) smacked an RBI single for St. Francis (0-2) in the first game in Williamsburg, Ky. David Kuhne went 2-for-2 for the Saints in the nightcap.

Men’s Volleyball

Lewis 25-25-25, McKendree 8-15-14: Scott Fifer passed out 24 assists and Tom Logan spiked nine kills to power host Lewis (8-3).

Lourdes 25-15-25-25, St. Xavier 16-25-20-18: Justin Cousin posted nine kills and six digs for visiting St. Xavier (0-8, 0-2). Moises Lopez added 23 assists for the Cougars in the Great Lakes Conference.
