High School Sports Roundup for Feb. 10, 2014

Boys Basketball

Tinley Park 78, Marist 76: Femi Elutilo (19 points) sank a jumper from the right wing with 3.9 seconds left to win it for host Tinley Park (7-12). Kevin Lerma recorded 17 points to pace Marist (15-8).

Lincoln-Way West 52, Lincoln-Way Central 47: Hayden Witt scored 22 points and Marco Pettinato had 16 to boost visiting Lincoln-Way West (12-7, 6-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Alex Parks had 18 points for Lincoln-Way Central (11-11, 3-7) and Brad Bass had 14.

St. Anne 76, Beecher 45: Dallas Saddler’s 17 points led host Beecher (5-16, 2-7) in the River Valley.

Lemont 76, Crete-Monee 65: Mike Wisz totaled 24 points, six rebounds and five assists to key host Lemont (11-10). Austin Tittle added 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Indians. Crete-Monee is 12-10.

Girls Basketball

Oak Lawn 60, Chicago Christian 34: Brianna Markusic scored 15 points to lead visiting Oak Lawn (23-1). Jannah Mahmoud added 14 points for the Spartans, Brooke Annerino netted 12 and Duneya Shatat had 10. Kate Pruim had a team-high nine points for Chicago Christian (7-15).

Bradley 66, Lincoln-Way West 54: Danielle Morgan and Courtney O’Donnell had 10 points each for host Lincoln-Way West (14-10, 6-7) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Hillcrest 65, Oak Forest 31: Shayla Joyner contributed 19 points and Tanzania Sherrill 12 to propel host Hillcrest (20-5, 12-0). Sherrise Heady chipped in 10 points for the Hawks in the South Suburban Blue. Maddie Baxa’s 14 points led Oak Forest (11-13, 8-4).

Andrew 45, Thornridge 32: Molly Franson posted 20 points to spark visiting Andrew (15-9, 9-3) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Rich East 58, Kankakee 34: Ashley Dennis (24 points) and Jordan Towery (16) led visiting Rich East (9-11, 2-7) in the Southland.

Eisenhower 50, Manteno 44: Kortney Chase had 10 points for visiting Eisenhower.
