Madonna 6-6, St. Francis 4-0: Joe Ruge hit a two-run double and David Kuhne (3-for-4) scored twice to aid St. Francis (5-5) in the opener in downstate Marion. The Saints managed just five singles in Game 2.
Georgetown (Ky.) 3-6, St. Xavier 2-2: Steven Mancilla’s RBI double in the bottom of the eighth propelled Georgetown in Game 1. Alec Barnhart was the standout for St. Xavier (0-4), drilling a two-run homer in the fifth to open the scoring. Tom Keating slashed a two-run single for the Cougars in the second game, which lasted six innings. Jim Augle and Bryan Polak had the other hits for St. Xavier.

Lewis 4, Ohio Dominican 1: Ben Albano’s two-run double capped a three-run outburst in the top of the ninth for Lewis (2-1) in Nashville. Mark Kornacker added one run and one RBI for the Flyers and leadoff man Alex Slaby scored twice. Eann Cox (1-0) pitched seven scoreless innings, giving up just two hits and striking out seven. Phil Warner recorded the final four outs for the save.
Winona State 15, Lewis 0: Carolyn Nojori, Kelsey Ullrich and Kimmy Teats contributed one hit apiece for Lewis (0-4) in the five-inning nightcap.
Upper Iowa 6, Lewis 4: Carly Jaworski contributed a two-run double for Lewis in its first game of the day at The Dome at The Ballpark in Rosemont. Ali Brems and Justina Doll also had RBI for the Flyers in the eight-inning contest.
