Softball

Marist 2, Miami Gulliver Prep 1: Zariya Gonzalez stroked a run-scoring single and also struck out seven in pitching a complete game for visiting Marist (1-0). Alexis Rogers had the other RBI for the RedHawks.

Girls Soccer

Windy City Ram Classic

Lincoln-Way North 6, Bremen 0: Rachel Pappas contributed three goals and an assist for host Lincoln-Way North (1-0).

Shepard 5, Beecher 0: Kelly Evancich netted a hat trick and Aubrey Quick added two goals to guide Shepard (1-0) at Lincoln-Way North.

Badminton

Plainfield North 11, Argo 4: Jennifer Gayton (No. 7) won her singles match and teamed with Indre Jankouskaite for a victory at No. 5 doubles to lead visiting Argo (0-1).

Boys Water Polo

Sandburg 10, Lincoln-Way North 4: Zach Roper’s seven goals steered host Sandburg (1-0) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover. Bobby Young, Nate Kies, Nate Pakosz and Pat Kelly scored for Lincoln-Way North (1-1).

Andrew 17, Riverside-Brookfield 6: Eric Tamulonis posted six goals and nine steals to boost visiting Andrew (2-0). Alex Gacek tacked on three goals for the Thunderbolts.

Morgan Park 23, Lindblom 12: Christian Cooper provided seven goals and seven saves to boost Morgan Park (3-3, 2-1) in the Public League Division II.

College Baseball

Quincy 6, Lewis 3: Mike Barajas hit an RBI double to pace visiting Lewis (8-7, 2-1) in the Great Lakes Valley. Jake Murray (3-for-5) and Alex Slaby added run-scoring singles for the Flyers in the nine-inning game.

College Softball

Lewis 5, Quincy 2: Kelsey Ullrich had two RBI to spark visiting Lewis (5-10, 1-3) in Game 2 of the Great Lakes Valley doubleheader. Lainie Schweickert (2-2) allowed three hits and struck out five in going the route for the Flyers in the seven-inning contest.

Quincy 11, Lewis 1: Ali Brems’ fourth-inning single scored Brittany Russell to aid Lewis in the six-inning opener.
