Baseball

Chicago Christian 12, Lisle 5: Jack DeVries belted a three-run triple and Christian Bolhuis (2-for-2, 3 RBI) added a two-run double to power Chicago Christian (1-0) in the six-inning game at Kroc Field.

Coach Bob Invitational

Broken Arrow (Okla.) 2, Marist 1: Ryan Kairis had an RBI single to aid Marist (2-3) in its final game of the tournament in Surprise, Ariz. Kyle Barrett allowed one earned run on four hits in pitching a complete game for the RedHawks.

Marist 11, Glendale (Ariz.) Deer Valley 8: Barrett Callaghan and Tyler Haizel each registered two RBI for Marist in its first contest of the day in Surprise, Ariz. Kenny Grant, Blake Bieniek, Mike Trbovic and Jake Soukup scored two runs apiece for the RedHawks.

Girls Soccer

Lockport 0, Lisle 0: Cassidy Henson stopped seven shots to key Lockport in its season opener at Joliet’s Memorial Stadium.

Windy City Ram Classic

Lincoln-Way West 1, Joliet West 0: Emily Wyskiel set up Kendall Watson for the goal that enabled host Lincoln-Way West (2-0) to advance in the championship bracket. Audrey Pearson notched her second shutout.

Oak Forest 1, Homewood-Flossmoor 0: Oak Forest (2-0) won the shootout 3-1 behind goals from Maddie Baxa, Rachel Valente and Sabrina Baxa. Abby Anderson chalked up the shutout at Marian Catholic.

T.F. United 4, Eisenhower 2: Monica Munoz had a hat trick to pace T.F. United (1-1) in the consolation bracket at Lincoln-Way West.

Marian Catholic 2, Thornwood co-op 0: Hailey Losselyong scored both goals for host Marian Catholic (1-1). Sarah Sieracki stopped four shots in registering the shutout.

Lincoln-Way East 1, Joliet Central 0: Caroline Kilrea’s goal propelled visiting Lincoln-Way East (1-1).

Argo 2, Solorio 0: Goals by Elizabeth Orihuela and Alicja Wilkosz ignited host Argo (1-1).

Reavis 1, Mount Assisi 0: Ewelina Kmin scored off a rebound and Makayla Spielman had the shutout to carry Reavis (1-1) at Glenbard East.

Badminton

Lincoln-Way Central 14, Joliet Central 1: Jana Mudrock won at No. 1 singles to vault host Lincoln-Way Central. Margaret Kolyvas and Maria Brown added a win at No. 1 doubles for the Knights in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.

Boys Water Polo

Riverside-Brookfield 10, Shepard co-op 7: Christian Reyes had four goals to propel host Shepard co-op (1-4).

Sandburg 17, Hinsdale South 4: Zach Roper scored six goals and Mitch Zieler five to lift visiting Sandburg (3-0). Sean McNicholas added 11 saves for the Eagles.

Lockport 6, St. Charles North 4: Jake Speechly’s hat trick led visiting Lockport (2-0).

Girls Water Polo

Lincoln-Way East 18, Lincoln-Way North 7: Haley McCabe, Aimee Schaaf and Zoe Zpada all had four goals for host Lincoln-Way East (4-1) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.

Sandburg 11, Bremen co-op 7: Danielle Lencioni and Sarah Dolitsky compiled four goals each to lift Sandburg (3-2) in Orland Park.

Girls Indoor Track & Field

Thornwood triangular: Janaia Carter won the 60-yard low hurdles (8.99 seconds) and 60-yard high hurdles (9.02) as Thornwood (97.5) topped Oak Lawn (43.5) and Thornridge (34). Kameesha Smith added victories in the 300 dash (41.12) and high jump (5 feet, 2 inches) for the champion Thunderbirds. Oak Lawn was led by Amber Iracheta, who bested the field in the mile run (7 minutes, 17.44 seconds) and 2-mile run (16:11.40). Thornridge’s Tyshenna House took first in the 600 (1:47.56).

College Baseball

Vincennes 7, South Suburban 2: Matt Hoge went 1-for-3 with an RBI to pace host South Suburban (3-5).

Men’s Volleyball

Cardinal Stritch 25-25-25, St. Xavier 14-11-16: Jacob Siska had 13 assists and J.T. O’Connell six kills for visiting St. Xavier (5-13, 2-5) in the Great Lakes Division of the Mid-America Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Conference.

College Softball

Lewis 8-10, Notre Dame College 2-6: Kelsey Ullrich (2-for-4) hit a two-run homer and totaled four RBI in sparking Lewis (7-10) to a sweep in South Euclid, Ohio. Lainie Schweickert (2-2) struck out seven in pitching a complete game for the Flyers. Lockport alums Jessica Rourke and Kelly Bowler starred for Lewis in Game 1. Rourke (3-for-3, 3 RBI) slammed a two-run homer, while Bowler (3-4) tossed a four-hitter and fanned nine.
