Evergreen Park 3, Oak Lawn 0: Brian Pall allowed two hits and struck out four in pitching a complete game for visiting Evergreen Park (13-8, 9-4) in the South Suburban Red. Brendan Walsh’s two-run single capped a three-run first inning for the Mustangs. Mitch Swatek and Matt Witkowski collected hits for Oak Lawn (8-16, 7-5).

Stagg 2, Lincoln-Way East 0: Max Strus (4-hitter, 5 strikeouts) went the distance and also scored a run to pace host Stagg (9-14, 4-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Drew Bolero added an RBI double for the Chargers. Kenichi Haynie went 2-for-3 to lead Lincoln-Way East (11-12, 2-6).

Lincoln-Way West 10, Thornridge 0: Zach Speaker (3-for-4), Tyler Dallio and Jake Mahy had three RBI apiece to spark host Lincoln-Way West (22-2, 8-0) in the five-inning tilt. Richard Yelnick gave up one hit and fanned eight in firing a complete game for the Warriors in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Lockport 4, Homewood-Flossmoor 0: Mike Formella scattered five hits and struck out seven in going the distance for visiting Lockport (12-11, 7-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Ryan Dalton (2-for-4) contributed an RBI single and two runs for the Porters. Isaac Cutrara smashed a double for Homewood-Flossmoor (14-5, 4-4).

Sandburg 10, Joliet Central 0: Julian Gutierrez (2-for-3) had two RBI to ignite host Sandburg (17-4, 8-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Bryan Pall surrendered one hit and struck out 10 over six innings for the Eagles.

Andrew 6, Lincoln-Way North 3: Tom Bushnell (earned run, 5 strikeouts) pitched a complete game and also provided an RBI for visiting Andrew (8-13, 3-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Ramon Gonzales and Tyler Minetti tacked on two runs each for the Thunderbolts. Erik Eggert (2-for-4) posted one run and one RBI for Lincoln-Way North (15-2, 7-1).

Simeon 13, Morgan Park 3: Christian Bullock and Christian Lipscomb recorded RBI for visiting Morgan Park (13-4-1, 7-1-1) in the Jackie Robinson South. Jamal Martin (2-for-3) added a run for the Mustangs in the five-inning game.

Shepard 5, Argo 0: Brendan Hermann starred on the mound (2-hitter, 9 strikeouts) and at the plate (2-for-3, double, RBI) for host Shepard (8-12, 6-7) in the South Suburban Red. Bob Peterka (2-for-3) added a double and a team-best three RBI for the Astros.

Bloom 10, Rich South 5: Ryan Smith (3-for-5) put up four RBI to catapult visiting Bloom (9-9, 7-1) in the Southland. John Kriha went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBI for Rich South (4-11, 2-7).

Bradley 5, Lincoln-Way Central 1: Shane Stover contributed an RBI grounder for visiting Lincoln-Way Central (16-8, 7-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Richards 24, Eisenhower 0: Danny Estrella (3-for-3, 2 runs) walloped a grand slam and an RBI double to steer host Richards (19-4, 13-1) in the five-inning contest. A.J. Sanchez (3-for-3, 2 runs) tacked on a pair of two-run singles for the Bulldogs in the South Suburban Red. Eisenhower dropped to 5-12, 4-8.

Beecher 3, Watseka 2: Brian Mayer’s flyout in the top of the seventh scored Dallas Saddler with the winning run for Beecher (15-8). Cameron Morgan (earned run) surrendered four hits and struck out five in spinning a complete game for the Bobcats.

Softball

Lincoln-Way North 16, Thornwood 0: Jen Pozza and Jenna Trojniar both went 2-for-3 with three runs for host Lincoln-Way North (12-6, 6-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Nina Tholl (2-for-3) added three RBI for the Phoenix in support of Alyssa Becker, who tossed a one-hitter in the five-inning game.

Lincoln-Way Central 12, Thornton 0: Courtney Kinney (2-for-3, 2 runs) bashed a solo homer and an RBI single to vault host Lincoln-Way Central (13-9, 6-2) in the five-inning game. Hannah Hosty (3-for-3) and Jackie Farbak (2-for-4) each added two runs and an RBI for the Knights in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Lincoln-Way West 3, Bradley 0: Emily Ray had two RBI and Morghan Dieringer (2-hitter, 11 strikeouts) went the distance to propel host Lincoln-Way West (22-1, 8-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Beecher 6, Marian Catholic 4: Sarah Crews (6 strikeouts) pitched a complete game in addition to contributing a homer and three RBI for host Beecher (22-6). Carlee Wisniewski doubled and knocked in two runs for Marian Catholic (12-8).

Joliet West 5, Lincoln-Way East 4: Nikole Van Gennep (2 RBI) had an RBI double and Jenny Van Geertry (3-for-3) scored twice to pace host Lincoln-Way East (15-6, 3-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Lockport 6, Bolingbrook 3: Kelly Pattison (3-for-4, RBI) scored twice and Haley Arndt added a two-run single to guide visiting Lockport (18-5-1, 6-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Richards 6, Evergreen Park 4: Lauryn McManus (2-for-3) had two RBI and Jordan Battles added a solo homer to elevate visiting Richards (14-5, 12-2) in the South Suburban Red.

Lemont 11, Bremen 1: Lauren May doubled and batted in two runs to aid host Lemont (15-6, 9-3) in the five-inning tilt. Lauren Young gave up four hits in pitching a complete game for the Indians in the South Suburban crossover.

Andrew 16, Thornridge 0: Hannah Persha (3-for-4) had three RBI and Tori Malak (2-for-4) added three runs for visiting Andrew (17-6, 6-2) in the five-inning SouthWest Suburban Red affair.

St. Francis 1, Chicago Christian 0: Davina Gutierrez allowed four hits and struck out six in tossing a complete game for visiting Chicago Christian (7-12, 2-5) in the Suburban Christian Blue.

Shepard 8, Mount Assisi 7: Bryanna Cross’ three-run homer keyed visiting Shepard (15-5). Jenna Huisenga and Alyssa DeChene tacked on solo shots for the Astros.

Oak Lawn 2, Reavis 1: Kaleigh Hayes singled home Hannah Papaleo with the winning run in the bottom of the sixth for Oak Lawn (12-10, 7-6) in the South Suburban Red. Mia Loya allowed four hits in going the route for the Spartans. Ally Balandis posted an RBI for Reavis (10-13, 7-8).

Sandburg 7, Homewood-Flossmoor 3: Katie Krzus (3-for-4, 2 runs) clubbed two homers and finished with four RBI to ignite host Sandburg (14-9, 6-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Illinois Lutheran 13, Kankakee Trinity 11: Alex Jackson, Jessica Currier and Caroline Kuether had RBI singles during a decisive five-run seventh inning for Illinois Lutheran (5-10). Kassie Kernagis (3-for-4, 3 runs) added a two-run homer and three RBI for the visiting Chargers.

Argo 11, Eisenhower 1: Taylor Lupo struck out nine in hurling a complete game for host Argo (5-13, 5-11) in the South Suburban Red.

Girls Soccer

Lockport 1, Stagg 0: Mary Licata set up Sam Calderaro for the goal that lifted host Lockport (7-7-4, 3-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Cassidy Henson made six saves in notching her seventh shutout.

Lincoln-Way East 4, Thornwood co-op 1: Caroline Kilrea netted a hat trick for visiting Lincoln-Way East (11-5-2, 3-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Bloom 11, Rich Central 0: Andi Hernandez totaled two goals and four assists to set the tone for visiting Bloom (10-1, 7-0) in the Southland.

Andrew 1, Bradley 0: Nicole Novak’s goal lifted visiting Andrew (9-3-2, 4-1) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.

Crete-Monee 7, Kankakee 0: Adrianna Vera scored three times to boost visiting Crete-Monee (7-7, 5-1). Alexis Cockle (assist) tacked on two goals for the Warriors and Ashley James had two assists.

Herscher 3, Beecher 1: Mia Mondello scored for visiting Beecher (6-7), with the assist going to Hannah Giroux.

Shepard 4, Evergreen Park 0: Kelly Evancich netted two goals and Heather Banis notched her 10th shutout to propel visiting Shepard (12-4-1, 8-2) in the South Suburban Red.

Reavis 4, Argo 0: Ewelina Kmin’s hat trick propelled Reavis (13-7, 9-3) in the South Suburban Red match at Toyota Park.

Lincoln-Way Central 1, Lincoln-Way West 0: Kyla Grundhofer scored off an assist from Sarah Ortman to spark host Lincoln-Way Central (9-7-3, 3-1-1). Anita Fournier registered her fifth shutout for the Knights in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Lincoln-Way West slipped to 13-4-1, 2-3.

Boys Volleyball

Brother Rice 25-25, Loyola 17-20: Jim Dwyer dished out 15 assists and Mitch Weiler had seven kills to pace visiting Brother Rice (22-2, 7-0) in the Catholic League Blue.

Benet 25-25, Marian Catholic 15-9: Zak Piekarski posted five digs and three assists for visiting Marian Catholic (6-15, 0-4) in the East Suburban Catholic.

Richards 25-23-25, Shepard 13-25-16: Doug Nelson finished with eight kills for host Shepard (7-14, 2-2) in the South Suburban Red.

Boys Tennis

Marian Catholic 5, St. Viator 0: Kyle Scheffers and Patrick Murday garnered wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, for host Marian Catholic (21-3, 6-1) in the East Suburban Catholic.

Sandburg 5, Stagg 2: Jonluke Passett (No. 1 singles) was among the winners for host Sandburg in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.

Shepard 4, Oak Lawn 1: Kyle McNamara and Bryan Spoon prevailed at No. 1 doubles for host Shepard in the South Suburban Red.

Oak Forest 4, Lemont 1: Tom Dagenais and Matt Nadeau won at No. 1 doubles for host Oak Forest (13-2, 2-0) in the South Suburban Blue. Faraz Longi won at No. 1 singles for Lemont (8-4, 1-1).

Illiana Christian 5, Elmwood Park 2: James Zandstra (No. 2) and Joel Bergsma (No. 3) won their respective singles matches for visiting Illiana Christian (7-5, 3-1) in the Metro Suburban.

Reavis 4, Eisenhower 1: Alex Nguyen was a winner at No. 2 singles for host Reavis (8-8, 2-0). Jimmy Nguyen and Pat Maziarz added a victory at No. 2 doubles for the Rams in the South Suburban Red.

Boys Water Polo

Lockport 14, Neuqua Valley 12: Zach Elias scored five times for host Lockport. Jake Speechley and Matt Olinski added three goals each for the Porters.

Girls Water Polo

Sandburg 7, Neuqua Valley 2: Sarah Dolitsky’s four goals carried visiting Sandburg.

Boys Track & Field

Marian Catholic triangular: Wins by Kyle Elam in the 110-meter high hurdles (16.63 seconds), Camren Howard in the mile run (4 minutes, 38.62 seconds) and Laquale Gray in the shot put (41 feet) guided Marian Catholic (82 points) past Nazareth (52) and St. Patrick (9) in the East Suburban Catholic meet.
