Reavis 2, T.F. South 1: Jose Romero smashed an RBI single and Lael Robles added a run-scoring groundout — both in the first inning — to lift visiting Reavis (11-17, 8-8) in the South Suburban crossover. Jorge Hernandez allowed six hits over six innings for the Rams and Belal Abuzir notched the save. James Macklin stroked an RBI single for T.F. South (15-11, 9-7).
Illiana Christian 9, Glenbard South 6: Jack Hillegonds (4-for-4, run) had three RBI and Caleb Jonkman (3-for-4) scored three runs to steer host Illiana Christian (12-14, 11-4) in the Metro Suburban.
Lockport 2, Sandburg 1: Tyler Hair scored on a passed ball in the 16th inning to elevate visiting Lockport (14-15, 9-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Mike Formella pitched 31/3 innings for the win and Austin Moralis recorded the save in the contest, which was the continuation of Monday’s game that had been halted by darkness after 10 innings with score tied 1-1. Sandburg slipped to 19-7, 9-2.
Lincoln-Way East 9, Joliet Central 0: Anna Selvaggio pitched five innings of one-hit ball and also contributed two RBI to pace visiting Lincoln-Way East (20-7, 8-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Jenny Van Geertry (3-for-4, 3 RBI) smashed a two-run single for the Griffins and Olivia Prieto (1-for-3) scored twice.
Stagg 5, Stagg 3: Madeline Hanley (2-for-4, run) had two RBI to spark visiting Sandburg (17-11, 8-4) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Stagg dropped to 2-16, 1-11.
Chicago Christian 6, Rosary 4: Sam Kubik (2-for-4, RBI) scored two runs and Davina Gutierrez (9 strikeouts) tossed a complete game to key host Chicago Christian (11-15, 4-9) in the Suburban Christian Blue.
Crete-Monee 7, Rich Central 0: Adrianna Vera netted two goals to spark visiting Crete-Monee (8-8, 6-2) in the Southland.
Lincoln-Way West 2, Lockport 1: Goals by Natalie Tannura and Kendall Watson guided host Lincoln-Way West (15-4-1) in the SouthWest Suburban crossover.
Bloom 9, Rich East 0: Jasmin Villanueva and Maria Narcisi scored two goals apiece to lift host Bloom (15-1, 10-0) in the Southland.
Lincoln-Way North 25-25, Stagg 12-12: Austin Faller had 17 assists to lead host Lincoln-Way North (30-3, 9-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red.
Lincoln-Way East 25-10-25, Andrew 13-25-18: Mike Rosseto finished with five kills to aid visiting Lincoln-Way East (32-1, 9-0) in the SouthWest Suburban Red. Sanil Thomas totaled eight kills and eight assists to pace Andrew (15-16, 5-4), which also received 11 digs from Steve Harrison.
Lockport 22-25-25, Joliet Central 25-17-13: Jon Wheaton (4 blocks) and Matt Sadler generated nine kills each for visiting Lockport (17-11, 4-5) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Sandburg 25-25, Bolingbrook 20-16: Dan Tynski and Neil Naughton slammed nine apiece to power host Sandburg (24-8, 7-2) in the SouthWest Suburban Blue. Ian Zalewski tacked on 32 assists for the Eagles and Jimmy Drynan had seven kills.
St. Rita 25-22-25, Providence 23-25-23: Jake Marquardt (29 assists) and John Regan (8 digs) were among the standouts for visiting St. Rita in the Catholic League Blue.
Reavis 25-25, Lemont 13-23: Rafal Slomba compiled 10 kills to pave the way for visiting Reavis (14-15, 4-2). Abdal Ishtaiah chipped in seven kills and six blocks for the Rams in the South Suburban.
St. Laurence 26-25, Fenwick 24-23: Jerry Soukal and Don Curley had seven kills apiece to vault host St. Laurence (10-12, 6-2) in the Catholic League White. Tim Delaney added 16 assists and six kills for the Vikings.
Oak Forest 25-25, Argo 15-15: Brett Staehlin and Jeff Sprayberry posted 21 and 15 kills, respectively, for host Oak Forest (23-10, 6-0) in the South Suburban.
Joliet West 25-25, Homewood-Flossmoor 19-16: Thomas Knetl had eight assists to lead host Homewood-Flossmoor in the SouthWest Suburban Blue.
Illiana Christian 5, Morgan Park Academy 0: Ben Van Til and Jason Eberly prevailed at No. 1 doubles for host Illiana Christian (9-6). Drew Smits and Garret Lytle added a win at No. 2 doubles for the Vikings.

Richards co-op 12, Stagg 9: Misty Gardner netted nine goals to boost Richards co-op in the quarterfinal. Mallory Schaub’s four goals led Stagg.
Sandburg 12, Curie 1: Sarah Dolitsky’s four goals paved the way for Sandburg.
Boys Track & Field
East Suburban Catholic Meet: Marist (122 points) topped Benet (90) and Marian Catholic (73) for first place among the eight scoring squads at Notre Dame. The champion RedHawks won the mile relay (3 minutes, 35.47 seconds) and 2-mile relay (8:20.59) in addition to receiving titles from Darshon McCullough in the triple jump (42 feet, 10 inches) and Luke Haberkorn in the 800-meter run (2:02.12). Joshua Haynes won the 400 dash (51.98 seconds) for Marian Catholic. Camren Howard prevailed in the mile run (4:31.97) for the Spartans and Matthew Martinson led the field in the high jump (6-4).
South Suburban Red Meet: Shepard (157) won all four relays in securing the team championship at Eisenhower. The Astros also produced a pair of standouts in Corry Williams and Josh Maier. Williams was tops in the 110-meter hurdles (15.40 and 300 intermediate hurdles (41.56), while Maier prevailed in the 800 (2:02.18) and mile run (4:33.77). Evergreen Park’s Charles Taylor won the 200 (23.10) and teammate Sam Senerchia finished first in the discus (139 feet, 2½ inches). Reavis also produced a pair of winners as Robert Centeno posted the best time in the 400 (51.37) and Calvin Jordan topped the competition in the long jump (20-10). Argo (94) finished second overall, with Evergreen Park (80), Richards (61), Eisenhower (59), Reavis (54) and Oak Lawn (51) rounding out the field.
SouthWest Suburban Red Meet: Demetrius Mitchell won the 110-meter hurdles (14.20) and 300 intermediate hurdles (39.0) as Thornton (123) captured first place. Thornwood (116) was second and Lincoln-Way Central (98) third in the eight-team meet at Thornridge. JoWahn Brown added victories in the long jump (21-7½) and triple jump (45-9½) for the champion Wildcats, who also posted the top times in the 400 relay (42.20) and mile relay (3:24.40). Lincoln-Way North’s Julian Hylton was the other double event winner, prevailing in the 100 (10.30) and 200 (21.50). Ben Zibricky, of Lincoln-Way Central, won the 800 (1:58.20) and fellow Knight Tommy Kolacki crossed the finish line first in the mile run (4:30.30). Other winners included Thornridge’s Leeshaun Evans in the high jump (6-1), Andrew’s Jarvion Franklin in the shot put (51-1) and Thornwood’s Dwayne Franklin in the discus (125-3). Lincoln-Way North (84) was fourth in the team standings, followed by Thornridge (52), Bradley (40), Andrew (27) and Lincoln-Way West (17).
Girls Track & Field
Class 2A Hillcrest Sectional: Wins by Dasia Evans in the high jump (5-0), Ninaa Edwards in the triple jump (36-5) and Sharana Baker in the 800 (2:27.0) propelled Rich South (87) to the championship. Providence (65.33) took second thanks in part to Gianna Lullo, who was victorious in the pole vault (9-3). Third-place Lincoln-Way West (52.33) won the 2-mile relay (10:04) in addition to receiving titles from Natalie Kroll in the mile run (5:23) and Natalie Waters won the 2-mile run (12.29). The remaining event winners from area schools were Bremen’s Christyle Smith in the 400 (58.63) and the Thornridge duo of Quianshana Johnson in the 200 (25.84) and Tatayana Groom in the 300 low hurdles (47.46).
Class 2A U-High Sectional: Jordan Annang won the shot put (33-1¾) and Tyra Smith prevailed in the triple jump (32-8¾) as Evergreen Park (87) finished third behind U-High (110) and Brooks (109). Chicago Christian (69) came in fourth and led all local squads with three victories, including the 2-mile relay (10:23.67). Individuals posting wins for the Knights were Jill VanDyk in the high jump (4-8), Rachel Janke in the discus (85-1). VanDyk also was runner-up in the 800 (2:33.01). Tia Reed, of Queen of Peace, garnered first place in the 100 high hurdles and was second in the 300 low hurdles (50.55). Kelsey Ferguson (59.88) chalked up a victory in the 400 for Morgan Park, which also finished ahead of the pack in the mile relay (4:14.83). U-High edged Brooks 110-109 for the team crown.
NCCAA World Series
Bluefield 5, Trinity Christian 4: Sawyer McLamb’s single in the top of the 11th scored Jacob Schober with the winning run for Bluefield (35-18) in the second round of pool play in Mason, Ohio. The Rams tied the game on Tyler Timmer’s two-run single in the ninth. Joe Presutti (3-for-4, run) and Brad Kopale (2-for-5) had RBI singles for Trinity Christian (26-22).
NCCAA World Series
Grace 12, Trinity Christian 3: Anna Phillips hit a two-run single for Trinity Christian (26-26) in the five-inning game in Roanoke, Virginia.
