Monday night’s storms forced the postponement of Tuesday’s Frontier League game between the Windy City ThunderBolts and Normal CornBelters that had been scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Standard Bank Stadium in Crestwood.
The T-Bolts stated on their Facebook page that power was knocked out at the stadium around 7 p.m. Monday and had not yet been restored as of Tuesday afternoon. Phones also were out at the park.
“ComEd has indicated that power might not be restored until tonight or even tomorrow,” a statement on the Facebook page read. “For this reason, Tuesday’s 7:05 p.m. game against the Normal CornBelters (has) been postponed.”
The game is set to be made up as part of a doubleheader, consisting of two seven-inning games, at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday.
A youth camp at the park scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday also was pushed back to Wednesday and Thursday.
