Boys Soccer

Marian Catholic 1, Andrew 0: Alec Guarino scored off an assist from Brendan Marz to lift host Marian Catholic in the season opener for both teams.

Stagg 2, T.F. United 2: Richardson Adeolu netted two goals to boost host T.F. United. Jeremy Atkinson scored twice for Stagg, including the equalizer on a penalty kick with eight minutes left.

Plainfield South 4, Lincoln-Way Central 1: Danny Flores assisted on Jacob Lysik’s goal for host Lincoln-Way Central.

Girls Volleyball

Joliet Catholic 25-25, Stagg 20-22: Mary Murphy finished with 16 assists and seven service points to pace visiting Joliet Catholic. Madeline Grimm chipped in eight kills for the Angels, while Mallory Krzysciak posted eight digs and five service points.

Montini 25-25, Lincoln-Way Central 14-18: Toni Leitshuh provided seven digs, five kills and five blocks to lead visiting Lincoln-Way Central. Mariel Leibovitz added nine assists and five blocks for the Knights.

Boys Golf

Lemont 161, Richards 190: Medalist Dan Orednick carded a 38 for Lemont in the South Suburban crossover at Cog Hill’s No. 1 Course. Aldo Pizzoferrato (40), Joe Pavlovic (41) and Matt Groebe (42) also contributed for the Indians.

Men’s Tennis

St. Francis 9, Bethel 0: Mark Zubov, Alex Haizel and Boris Peshev were among the winners in singles and doubles for host St. Francis (1-0).

Women’s Tennis

St. Francis 9, Bethel 0: Gabriella Demchenko (No. 1) and Danielle Hoffman (No. 2) won their respective singles matches and also teamed for a victory at top-seeded doubles to guide host St. Francis.
