Crete-Monee 9, St. Anne 0: Fernando Aguirre’s six goals led host Crete-Monee (1-0). Victor Romo chipped in three goals and two assists for the Warriors.
Beecher 13, Rich East 0: Bailey Schultz posted a hat trick to lead Beecher (1-0) in the second contest at Crete-Monee. Jackson Strick (3 assists) and Garrett Short added two goals apiece for the Bobcats.
Illinois Lutheran 9, Rich Central 0: Cameron Borns, Justin Schmidtke and Jonathan Spence each had two goals and an assist for host Illinois Lutheran (1-0).
St. Anne 8, Rich South 0: Connor Claussen rang up three goals and an assist to lead St. Anne in the season debut for both teams. Kaleb Lehnert added a goal and two assists for the Dragons at Illinois Lutheran.

Providence 3, Bremen 1: Silvio Gkizas netted two goals to vault Providence (1-0). Justin Alberico tacked on one goal and one assist for the Celtics at Argo.
Argo 6, Carver 1: Matt Sulamc notched two goals and an assist to direct host Argo (1-0).
Cristo Rey 1, Mount Carmel 0: Andres Vasquez’s rebound off a penalty kick lifted Cristo Rey (2-0) at Romeoville. The match was the first of the season for Mount Carmel.
Joliet Central 1, De La Salle 0 (OT): Renato Serrato (goal) and Aaron Serafin (5 saves) were the key contributors for Joliet Central at Homewood-Flossmoor.
Marist 2, Glenbard South 0: Goals by Joe Kezon and Carter Olson led host Marist (1-0). Noah Kemp made five saves in recording the shutout.
Lincoln-Way North 4, Tinley Park 0: Ruben Sanchez struck for a pair of goals to boost Lincoln-Way North (1-0). Brian Galassini and Jake Mitchell also scored for the Phoenix at Marist.
Andrew 4, Oak Lawn 0: Jonathan Sustaita registered a hat trick to power Andrew (1-1) at St. Rita.
Shepard 2, St. Rita 0: Corry Williams had a goal and Isaac Hernandez posted his second shutout to aid visiting Shepard (2-0).
Reavis 4, Joliet West 1: Slawomir Chrobak’s two goals and Miguel Manzo’s two assists keyed tournament host Reavis (1-0).
Marian Catholic 1, Eisenhower 0: Brendan Marz scored and Jacob Fodness made six saves for host Marian Catholic (2-0).
Kennedy 2, T.F. United 1: Alexis Gallegos scored in regulation for T.F. United (0-1-1), which was outscored 5-4 in the penalty-kick shootout at Marian Catholic.
Tinley Park 25-25, Homewood-Flossmoor 21-16: Lindsay Lannen posted seven kills and Molly Brennan added six kills and seven digs for host Tinley Park (2-0). Helena Villar had five assists for Homewood-Flossmoor (0-1).
Richards 25-25, Thornwood 12-14: Katelyn Sullivan dished out 20 assists and Dana Wujcik had six kills for host Richards in the season opener for both teams.
Shepard 25-25, Chicago Christian 15-14: Abbey Graham notched 18 service points and four aces to spark host Shepard (1-0). Kendall Yerkes added seven kills for the Astros.
Queen of Peace 25-25, Evergreen Park 13-11: Colleen Corbett had 17 assists and Abby Bennett six kills for host Queen of Peace (1-0).
Minooka 30-25, Lockport 28-22: Lindsey Visvardis registered 12 digs and Morgan Valley added five kills to lead host Lockport (0-1).
Lincoln-Way North 25-25-25, T.F. South 22-27-17: Sammy Ritter passed out 19 assists to steer visiting Lincoln-Way North (1-0). The Phoenix also received 15 digs from Maddy Wagner and 10 kills from Rachel Burkman. Crystal Lee compiled a team-high 11 kills for T.F. South (0-1). Jenna Pasko added 13 assists and eight kills for the Rebels.
Downers Grove North 30-25, Marian Catholic 28-15: Dana Zavesky contributed four kills and Colette Scheffers added eight digs to aid host Marian Catholic (0-1).
Oak Forest 163, Richards 172: Medalist Luke Heniff shot a 39 to propel Oak Forest in the South Suburban crossover at Stony Creek.
Eisenhower 194, Hillcrest 244: Eisenhower’s Vinny Curta (38) carded the best round in the South Suburban crossover at Coyote Run.
Joliet Township co-op 153, Andrew 178: Medalist Trent Wallace fired a 34 to lead Joliet Township co-op in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Inwood in Joliet.
St. Rita 171, Brother Rice 173: Darren O’Hanlon, of St. Rita, shot a 39 to secure medalist honors in the Catholic League meet at Balmoral Woods.
Bradley 166, Stagg 193: Joe Zaremba’s 46 was the top score for Stagg in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Manteno Golf Course.
Tinley Park 185, Argo 222: Medalist Andrew Hall shot a 43 to direct Tinley Park in the South Suburban crossover at The Sanctuary.
Chicago Christian 167, Aurora Central Catholic 174: Pete Vos, of Chicago Christian, was the medalist after carding a 40 at Phillips Golf Course in Aurora. Nate Kamp added a 41 for the Knights in the Metro Suburban meet.
T.F. South 176, Oak Lawn 207: T.F. South’s Maggie Sloan (35) was the top individual in the South Suburban crossover at Stony Creek.
Illiana Christian 151, Immaculate Conception 168: Medalist Matthew Zandstra finished with a 1-under 34 to steer Illiana Christian in the Metro Suburban dual at Cog Hill No. 3.
Kankakee 192, Bloom 210: Geno Narcisi (37), of Bloom, was the medalist in the Southland meet.
Homewood-Flossmoor quadrangular: Medalist Jake White shot an even-par 35 as Lincoln-Way East (157) edged Homewood-Flossmoor (157) on a tiebreaker at Ravisloe. Sandburg (161) and Lincoln-Way West (169) also competed in the SouthWest Suburban meet. Lincoln-Way West’s Sean Knights was the individual runner-up, finishing one stroke off the pace.
Lincoln-Way North 189, Homewood-Flossmoor 236: Medalist Rachel Cheval (43) guided Lincoln-Way North in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Coyote Run.
Bradley 212, Stagg 218: Haleigh Biernacki, of Stagg, led all competitors with a 47 in the SouthWest Suburban crossover at Silver Lake South.
Argo 3, Hillcrest 2: Dolores Rodriguez prevailed at No. 1 singles for visiting Argo (1-0) in the South Suburban crossover.
Lincoln-Way East 4, Joliet Catholic 3: Maura Kenny and Natalie McCray (No. 3 doubles) were among the winners for host Lincoln-Way East (1-0).
Boys Cross Country
Crown Point Invitational: Nick Fiene (16 minutes, 56 seconds) was the top individual in leading Illiana Christian (52 points) to a second-place finish behind Munster (31) in the 10-team meet. Nick Wondaal (17:14) added a fourth-place showing for the Vikings, two spots ahead of teammate Colin DeYoung (17:23).
SouthWest Suburban Preseason Meet: Tommy Kolacki (15:38), of Lincoln-Way Central led the pack in the 3-mile race at Channahon Community Park. Joliet Central’s Raul Rosendo (15:46.6) was second, followed by Lincoln-Way Central’s Ian Peterson (15:48) and the Sandburg duo of Greg Burzinski (15:55.1) and Sean Torpy (16:05.5). The latter two individuals also helped the Eagles (34) edge Lincoln-Way Central (39) for top honors among the 13 scoring squads.
Girls Cross Country
SouthWest Suburban Preseason Meet: Lockport (52) bested runner-up Lincoln-Way Central (76) and third-place Sandburg (106) in winning the 13-team invitational at Channahon Community Park. The champion Porters were led by Haley Beaumont (20:20.1) and Emily Hahn (20:20.5), who were fifth and sixth, respectively, on the 3-mile course. Lincoln-Way West’s Natalie Waters (18:46.7) was the medalist, while Casey Jensen (18:59.6), of Sandburg, took second. Lincoln-Way Central filled the next two slots courtesy of Madison Smith (19:41.4) and Heidi Killinger (19:44.1).
Girls Swimming & Diving
Bremen triangular: Annette Lesnicki won the 50-yard freestyle in 27.41 seconds as Lemont (143) topped Argo (74) and Bremen (67) in the South Suburban meet. Kennedy Pawell added a victory in the 500 free (6:48.10) for the Indians.
Mount Mercy 3, St. Francis 1: Mohamad Rashid netted a second-half goal for host St. Francis (0-1).
