Boys Basketball

St. Edward 59, Chicago Christian 48: Michael Kamp had 19 points to pace visiting Chicago Christian (6-10, 1-3) in the Suburban Christian Gold.

Bob Hambric Shootout

Bogan 76, No. 1 Bloom 64: Donald Moore scored 19 points and Lejavius Johnson added 11 to pace Bloom (13-2) at T.F. North.

Girls Basketball

No. 6 Marian Catholic 58, Carmel 44: Megan Walsh recorded 18 points and 10 rebounds for host Marian Catholic (10-7, 2-1) in the East Suburban Catholic. Ashton Millender tacked on 13 points for the Spartans.

Thornwood 72, Eisenhower 30: Arielle Marie and Tashea Tinglin each scored 16 points for visiting Thornwood.

Galesburg 72, Queen of Peace 57: Hannah Lipman had 17 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to pace host Queen of Peace (3-16). Kaitlyn McCarthy also scored 17 points for the Pride.

Romeoville 61, Lemont 31: Alena Pranckevicius netted seven points for visiting Lemont (4-13).

St. Ignatius 53, Mount Assisi 21: Visiting Mount Assisi was beaten in the GCAC crossover.

Battle of the Borders

No. 8 Morgan Park 72, Milwaukee Vincent 70 (OT): Kendyl Nunn provided 19 points and 10 rebounds for Morgan Park (11-6) in Racine, Wis.

Girls Bowling

Prospect Invitational: All 36 teams competed under the Baker modified scoring format. Lockport (5,888) was third, its top individual being Megan Szczepanski, who finished 10th with a four-game series of 841.

Wrestling

Kaukauna (Wis.) Invitational: Lockport (382.5 points) was eighth and Mount Carmel (198) 17th in the 24-team event. Lockport was led by Brian Rossi (106 pounds), Shaun’Qae McMurtry (160) and Brad Johnson (195), each of whom finished second. Bryce Brill (145) was fourth in his weight class for Mount Carmel.

Geneva Invitational: Championships from Nuntrae Jackson (145) and Brian Hanik (160) powered Brother Rice (108.5) to an eighth-place finish in the 16-team tournament. Austin Battaglia (182) added a second-place showing for the Crusaders. Alex Vargas (152) was runner-up for Lincoln-Way North (65), which placed 11th.

Glenbard West Invitational: Josh Arnold (126), Joe Kennedy (160) and Eduardo Marquez (heavyweight) captured championships in leading Reavis (178.5) to a fourth-place finish in the eight-team tournament.

Leyden Invitational: Mousa Jodeh (120) and Alec Brown (195) won titles for Oak Forest (116), which finished seventh in the 14-team tournament. Alan Durham (113) added a second-place finish for the Bengals and Andrew McCann (220) took third. Kameron Sconiers (182) was a third-place winner in pacing Richards (69.5) to a 10th-place showing.

Morton Invitational: Kyle Tilley (182) was a third-place winner for Crete-Monee (116.5), which placed sixth out of 13 teams. Other third-place finishers for the Warriors were Anthony Cephus (195), Travelle Smith (220) and Austin Rosenfeldt (heavyweight).

Princeton Invitational: No team scores were provided. Shepard was led by Igor Nunez, who was third at 182 pounds.

Lincoln-Way West duals: Larry Cozzo (106), Kyle Rodriguez (126), Will Hubbard (145) and Tommy Demma (182) posted three wins apiece as Lincoln-Way West topped Tinley Park 53-13, Rich East 44-4 and Morris 51-23.

Providence triangular: Matt Glenn (182) had two pins in helping Providence defeat Joliet West 42-24 and Fenwick 68-9. Cole Ferguson (120), Eddie Klimara (132) and Adam Mackay (152) were among the other Celtics with two victories apiece.

Homewood-Flossmoor quadrangular: Homewood-Flossmoor was the top team, defeating Andrew 45-20, Thornwood 42-18 and T.F. South 47-18.

Oswego duals: Lincoln-Way East won all three of its competitions, beating Naperville North 34-29, Streamwood 58-21 and Palatine 48-20. Stagg fell to Naperville North 62-11, Oswego 66-11 and Palatine 44-29.

Lincoln-Way Central duals: Lincoln-Way Central bested Lyons 51-9 and Warren 44-19. The Knights also lost to Marist 34-20. In addition, Marist fell 34-20 to Hinsdale Central.

Boys Swimming

Hinsdale South Invitational: Homewood-Flossmoor’s Kevin Kuchta won the 200-yard breaststroke (2 minutes, 16.55 seconds). As a team, the Vikings (79 points) finished eighth in the meet won by Naperville Central (240).
