Girls Basketball

Providence 63, Joliet West 47: Cassidy Glenn scored 16 points and Alex Shermulis dished out 13 assists to aid visiting Providence (10-8). Mary Fashingbauer and Sam Rohrer added 11 points apiece for the Celtics.

St. Anne 50, Illinois Lutheran 19: Janelle Heyn scored seven points for host Illinois Lutheran (2-11, 0-6) in the River Valley.

Beecher 44, Gardner-South Wilmington 35: Visiting Beecher (15-6, 6-1) prevailed in the River Valley.

Boys Basketball

Tinley Park 62, Lincoln-Way North 53: Tracey Brandy poured in 19 points to lead visiting Tinley Park (7-8). Eldridge Anderson (12 rebounds) and Jon Calhoun each tacked on 11 points for the Titans. Lincoln-Way North fell to 5-13.

Boys Bowling

Lincoln-Way West 2,049, Stagg 1,496: Nick Dybas’ 257 game and 479 series propelled Lincoln-Way West in the SouthWest Suburban Red dual at Laraway Lanes.

Sandburg 2,078, T.F. North 1,755: Joe Kopera registered games of 219 and 234 to guide Sandburg at Orland Bowl. Dave Kopera added a 246 game for the Eagles. Charles Hutcherson led T.F. North with a 402 series.

Lincoln-Way North 1,931, Oak Forest 1,695: Erik LaBuda, of Oak Forest, notched a 385 series at Tinley Park Bowl.

Brother Rice 2,687, St. Laurence 2,656: Brother Rice’s Chris Roti led all competitors with a 248 game and 468 series in the Catholic League meet at Burr Oak Bowl. Frank Tonika paced St. Laurence with a 418 series.

Girls Bowling

Eisenhower 1,625, Richards 1,492: Eisenhower’s Michelle Manna posted the top game (248) and series (443) in the South Suburban Red dual at Brunswick Zone in Oak Lawn.

Joliet West 1,734, Rich South 1,617: Salest Stewart had a 235 game and 396 series for Rich South at Lakewood Bowl.

Oak Forest 1,537, Stagg 1,106: Tori Rodriguez, of Oak Forest, rolled a 204 game and 358 series at Oak Forest Bowl.
